เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ก.ค. 2023
A married couple with a love of all things horror talk about all your favorite scary movies! Join them as they dive deep into what makes these movies great...or not so great. Find out what makes a film truly scary and learn what deeper meaning lives in the subtext of the most horrific flicks.
The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023) - "Boats 'N Bros"
Vampire January Part 5: The Final Bite
In this episode of Horror Hour with the Hanna's, we climb aboard The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023) and dissect the highs and lows of this ambitious horror film. Directed by André Øvredal, the movie expands on Bram Stoker’s infamous chapter, chronicling the doomed crew of the Demeter as they transport Dracula across the sea.
The film boasts a haunting setting but does its slow pace and predictable storytelling drag it down? We examine whether this high-seas horror makes the most of its atmospheric premise or if it’s more bark than bite.
Tune in as we break down the scares, the storytelling, and whether The Last Voyage of the Demeter adds anything new to the long legacy of Dracula adaptations-or if it just treads water.

In the book itself, Dracula is hardly seductive...
Y'all really like boats lmao
Ooh I’m excited for this one!
Ooh we hope you like it! Have you seen the movie?
its 'feat'.
The joke is that they shoot feet alot
@@HorrorHourwiththeHannas right!!! lol
This title makes me so curious
❤ God Bless Them 😄🙏🏻
I do not like this movie, but I think you both bring up good points as to why it's well made still
My favorite!!!
Great review! This really was one of the prettiest movies I've seen over the last year
But Alma used her cuckoo powers at the end?
he was just walking the whole time in a violent nature
smile 2 for me
Stop motion was so boring honestly
I watched immaculate after watching the first omen and i was like wait i watched this movie, so similar plot 😅
I guess it was a pretty relevant topic for 2024 😅
This movie was terrible
Such a cool idea
New subscriber just because of this short. This was one of the first zombie movies I had ever seen. I remember being a little kid watching it thinking, "It's a black and white horror movie. I bet it sucks." How wrong I was, haha. I was actually scared watching it. I've been hooked on zombie movies ever since then.
Kukoo was Crazeee 😵💫
"Subvert gender norms." Yeah - no one has ever thought of that before.
Someone mentioned in a video that McCready is breathing with steam but child's isnt.im questioning if the thing were in multiple people at the same time know they were things? And ugh the guy with the pistol in the beginning is probably the worst scene at the end when the guy put its thing down his throat.haha you know what I mean
I didn’t think that it was better. I could see it’s a higher budget and more realistic. But I thought the plot was all over the place and I didn’t like how half of the movie was a hallucination.
Its the first choice
The real religion is...control
Great episode!
I lean towards the second.
ITS the first one
More spoiler free reviews!
More to come!!!
Some of these are soooo funny, so good
OMG I love this, I am suchhh a cancer and Midsommar was a super spot on pick!
Maudie was AWESOME 🤍🪶
BEETLEJUICE! BEETLEJUICE! BEETLEJUICE! (The Third Beetlejuice Movie) Where Beetlejuice Actually Tries To "Evolve" From Villain To Hero. And I'm So Rooting For The Ghost With The Most To Kinda Step Up And Start Acting Like The Kind Of Friend, And Hero Lydia Needs Him To Be. In Fact I Think BJ, And Lyds Should Set Their Differences Aside And Start Working As A Team Alongside Astrid (Jenna Ortega) To Save Both Worlds Of The Living, And The Dead. Also Beej Has Just Gotta Succeed In His And Lyds' Wedding You Remember What Wynona Ryder Said in That One BTS Interview
This shit movie
It's not my fave

Yeah Winona wants them to get married 😂
Beej X Lyds 4LIFE
He'll Have It Even More In The Third Beetlejuice Movie.
I'll take a third one if I get more Catherine Ohara 😂 - Hannah
We're Not Sure If She And That Half-Eaten Husband Of Hers Have Taken The Soul Train Yet.
This movie was utter trash
Comes right off his tongue. Wow
He's more of a mix tbh. I believe his version of a clown is aligned more with old Harlequin clowns at least with look. He also looks like a sad clown which is usually linked to misery. Either way he's unique and I love the character. It just feels like a classic slasher in a good way
The community Halloween episodes are soooo good
Did you say “Man Hanna”? Y’all need to clear that up before I get beyond 0:07
Lmao Matt* Hanna
I kinda like Man Hanna tho
I liked the first one but the sequel sucked
i disagree, a little too long sure. but part 2 had more overall personality
Ha, great fun fact! Amazing movie, but i can never watch it again... its just so much
It's really not all that good, it's not bad either but definitly not a top 100 horror movie
Is it worth the watch?
I think so!! Just be prepared for weird
100%! Must watch!! It will move you in unexpected ways… over and over again
You both sound so pedantic. It's fine to have your own opinions and stating them to share that info with other but the way you express it all- it just makes me irrationally hate the video as a whole
Thanks for listening. This is a TH-cam upload of a podcast where we freely discuss our opinions on the films we watch. Sometimes we like them and sometimes we don’t. I don’t remember being overly nit picky with this one, but we are always going to do our best to tell you how we really feel.
It was a good movie but confused the hell out of me
Same
Samesies
I have to see this now
I'll meet you there
I watched it actually. I totally agree, but there were some parts I just couldn’t take serious and I would just laugh about these scenes
Before I knew you were talking about Sinister (I know it's in the caption, I don't read those first, don't come for me 😂) I was legit worried about what BLASPHEMY you were about to speak into this world lol I was worried you were gonna say Halloween, or Child's Play, or Nightmare on Elm Street. Honestly, for me, only the first 2 Conjuring movies were a hit out of their whole franchise. The first Nun was okay, but not exactly horror classics material, though the actress was engaging. Honestly, I haven't seen Sinister but I've heard it discussed by a very reputable source and I feel like I'd agree with you.
Not getting The Witch one was rough
Hereditary is DEFINITELY the scariest of this group
