MIDJOURNEY PROMPTS - Top 5 Artists Prompts To Make a Comic Book
Midjourney is becoming hugely popular and my last video was met with quite mixed reactions. I thought it was an opportunity to explore some of my favorite comic and illustration artists and what Midjourney would create based on using the same prompt across 25 different artists.
For each of these artists I show an example of their actual work then a couple frames of what Midjourney decided their work looked like using the same prompt for everyone. It's interesting, strange, and pretty cool to see who Midjourney can replicate and who may not have been included in their data set. Check out the artists below.

Just to be clear. I'm not advocating that everyone drop their pencils and move to AI only art. It's a tool in the artist's arsenal just like photoshop or vodka. Use it when appropriate but some discretion is advised....

They Live TV Show Intro
มุมมอง 1124 ปีที่แล้ว
I made a simple voxel animation for the intro to a (not yet) existent THEY LIVE TV show. The city was built in Goxel on an ipad Pro, dumped into MagicaVoxel to clean up, then I used Blender to animate. I created everything here myself (the signs are Futura Bold Condensed) except the music is John Carpenter.
Listen, bub. You don't have legal rights to anything from DSP. And it seems he has outlived you as well on TH-cam.
Hey man, just wanted to comment here to say DSPGaming is literal slime who should have shouted you out, but I am not surprised he didn't because again, he is literal slime.
You're wrong.
@@ashketchup6443 No, I'm not. Literal slime. Also has gout.
@@Subject117m A honest eye can spot the difference. Yours appears to be blurred from hate. I pray for you, young lad.
@@ashketchup6443 No. Hate requires energy. DSP being literal slime is a simple observation. Save your prayers for those who need them, perhaps those who give literal slime money.
Are you naturally dumb or does it take a lot of practice?
DSPGaming is planning on selling your shirts in his merchstore, intending to make money off your design. This man would never commission anything so I have no doubts he stole your original artwork for his designs. I encourage you to take any form.of legal action because he is too hard headed to realize he is in the wrong.
Liar
Genuinely hope DSP acknowledges your creation of the "Philamania" shirt. That is your creation based off the Hulk Hogan logo for DSP to steal it without crediting it is scummy.
He doesn't own the trademark
You're incorrect.
Dsp wont give you shoutout cause a fan made that for him
I was curious how you go about copyrighting your work prior to publication. Is there a specific site you go to to get a copyright? Curious because a lot of the books I have seen have a copyright but not sure how to go about getting one.
Amazing video. Thank you. Gives me ideas on how to move forward with the tech beyond just generating images.

Hi, great video. I'm trying to follow up with your video. I've downloaded Affinity Designer and I bought the Comic Life 3 software. I have a few questions though. I want to turn my novel into a graphic novel. So, the main questions that I have are, if I want to publish my graphic novel in hardcover and Kindle to publish on amazon kdp, what dimensions should I have the artwork already at to begin with?
Hey dude great video! I'm actually publishing a poetry book with illustrations done on midjourney. I also picked up the Comic Life 3 software for Mac. Are all the vertical templates on Comic Life 3 6 :9? I want to publish my book as a paperback on Amazon and the dimensions are 6:9. I 'm using comic life 3 to simply import my artwork in and then I plan on laying over my poetry on the artwork. Are the blurbs the only way to add text? I'm looking for a simple copy/ paste my poetry from word to the artwork.
I feel like throwing up after this video
So glad this was my first video on this subject. I've been wanting to get the stories of my novels out of my head & notes and into a book. What a great way to start off!

没问题。 我很高兴能为您提供帮助,祝您未来的项目顺利
Amazing. Thank you
What's sad is everyone who complains about AI and just needing to learn to draw will never even publish a single comic, let alone a run of them.
Thank you! You inspire. I had to say that because I've consumed many YT presentations, and most of the time end up thinking "great job!" and then go back to whatever I was doing. I watched this and ended up feeling "Man, I want to go out right now and try this!!" Thanks for that enthusiasm
Cant I just wait for you to produce a comic and then rip it off since ai art is not covered by copyrights?
I can't wait for AI to learn how to prompt itself and make any and all human involvement completely irrelevant.
I'm a professional artist, now retired. I worked for Hallmark in Kansas City for 24 years before retiring. A.I. image generation is both amazing and revolutionary and while I personally have nothing to fear from A.I. generation now that I am retired, it's a fantastic tool from the perspective of a business owner. Case in point, before companies had access to affordable computers, companies, both large and small, had to count on company accountants to keep track of all the numbers. When computing came along in the 1970s that was affordable for company purchase, guess who lost their jobs? Literally hundreds of thousands of accountants, almost overnight. Computing had a devastating sweeping effect on many jobs across America in the 1970s, and in all honestly, probably even a more profound effect than artists are ever likely to see. Same difference here with artists and A.I. image generation. Businesses are already seeing the financial benefit of A.I. image generation, and it's not going to stop here today, or tomorrow. In fact, I've heard stories of even college art teachers going on record saying, that having an art degree now and in the future, maybe not being the safest bet for one's future as it relates to having a career in art. Today, I make PDF graphic novels, with sound, calenders, stickers, etc. as a side hustle using Midjourney, Leonardo, etc. Imagine that, an artist using A.I. image generation. In fact, I now refer to myself as an "A.I. Artist" which, is true in every sense of the word. At one time, America had many companies that supported the horse and buggy industry. Saddles, crops, whips, wooden wheels, buggies, carts, the metal work, etc. All of those men and women were craftsman / craftswomen (artists) in every sense of the word. And, 100 - 150 - 200 years later, all those jobs are gone because of science and invention. Artists will fare no different. The profession of artists will slip away like so many other jobs. Some jobs will remain using human mind, imagination and hand, just like the handful of craftsman that still make saddles. A businesses main focus is company survivability. They do this through cost savings and, ultimately, profits. If I had an art department of, say, 4 individuals making $70,000 - $90K+ each, and beyond, and I could get the same quality of work using A.I., then I am going to eliminate those jobs.
Basically teaching how to steal other peoples work
Interesting...
You should remake this video now that sref prompt is out. Good luck
Midjurny is shit
AI is crap for story boarding and making comics , The likenesses and clothing always changes from scene to scene
Wow. This was remarkable. Hats off to you, mate for not only creating an original manuscript so swiftly but also for articulating every step with precision, care and humility. And I concur: AI has not and will never (imo) entirely replace humans and our art but utilized in the right way, it can be an extremely useful tool to help us with our endeavors. Well played, sir 👏🏼
Oh yeah, the thing I want the most is to make obviously ai generated slop that is also UNCOPYRIGHTABLE
Well, then I have a TH-cam tutorial video you’re going to love….!
Where did you get you T shirt!!!!!!
I’m a Senior Editor for the Weekly World News. Pretty sure this shirt is still available through Creepy Co. Glad you noticed it! ❤
That was the most impressive video on AI I’ve watched for quite a while. I like what u do & how u think about it :)
I have a question: I'm creating a graphic novel in Clip Studio Paint. When I'm done with it, it'll roughly be around 200 pages. How do you save or work on a file that has so many pages without slowing the program down? Do you only do a certain number of pages with multiple files and then combine them all using a different program?
Great video! You inspired me to do my own comic book, and mine turned out amazing! Thanks so much! 😊
Thx for this video Phil. You have really opened a new world for me :)
Affinity designer is like Illustrator?

Really appreciate this instructional, and your no-nonsense (but no less engaging) delivery.
Where can I get different fonts? For the book and cover?
Many thanks for your comic creation videos. Very helpful. I see you haven't posted any more in over a year. Everything OK?
I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING A.I. A.I. IS STOLEN ART!
what can i use for windows?
Can you release a midjourney made product without any copyright issues?
What's more amazing is the low cost to print that book.
Hello Sir I have lots of comic character and cerachtor ideas but I need a platform and a chance to explore my unique art work in the 🌎
OR LEARN TO DRAW
While I 100% agree, you gotta admit the people who would choose AI over traditional art are either too impulsive to learn to draw or don't have the financial stability to pay an artist to draw for them. I get *why* people gravitate towards using AI art, I still think against it though. As for me? I ain't got the fkn patience to learn to draw I'm just gonna write a novel lmao
Something you should learn from the looks of your channel 😂

I said to myself: OK, let's watch this video and see, maybe this is the future and it will be a nice tool in the artist and writer's kit. Halfway into the video, everything is copied and pasted from AI and it kinda of looked pathetic af. The other thing is, it went lazy and blatant as a final stuff. Kinda fast food bought with fast-earned money, It's scary cuz now everyone will put this blunt shit on the market and everybody will have to learn how to understand this stuff out front so you don't waste your money and time on this shit .

Hey, this is comicai AI!!! Comicai will be launching a lot of new features in October and we would like to invite you to become an Event Experience Partner, Are you interested?
I loved this video. I am working on a Desktop Python Flask application to create comic books. This loaded me with ideas.
