Thoroughly enjoyed this lads. Making my day at work much better. Thank you. Excited for the rest :)
the fact that nobody talked about the 130 to 140 bpm range feels like a crime...
Really enjoy these podcast episodes thank you!
Ive got one year left of high school and I intended on doing a music degree for a year just to meet other musicians and to get some form of guidance then I’m going to transition into a teaching degree as a backup
I genuinely really enjoy these podcast, keep it up guys
You only have one week to cop some Sound Lodge merch!! soundlodge.net/collections/merch
Great episode as always! The Phoebe bridgers lyric "When you said i will never be your vegetable" is actually a Chinese saying. "Not my vegetable" is the the same as saying "not my cup of tea" in the UK, not sure if anyone sais that in the US but i thought id share!
130-140 BPM. For the longest time I never knew how to change the BPM in FL, so all my beats were 130.
2nd verse curse is so real

This episode's question: If you could produce in only one BPM range, what would you choose and why? (70-80, 80-90, 90-100, etc. all the way up to 200BPM) Answer in the comments below! Join the Discord to ask us questions for future episodes! bit.ly/lodgediscord
Great Podcast🙃!! I think i will choose 160 bpm most of the music i listen to is in that range also 160 can work with anything maybe any genre its not too fast but not not too slow its perfect my question for you guys what Genre of music u dont normally listen to and would you challenge urself to experiment with it maybe make a beat in that genre
Truth!
what would you recommend for a mid level producer (I've only put out one song but probably made 100) who wants to start recording drums Ive done 1 and 2 mic recording and want to do 4 or 7 mic but have a 400 budget.
Do yall fuck with modulation if so which modes are you favourites?
Thank you for everything

This episode's question: Why do songs blow up? Is there something special or is it just promotion and luck? Answer in the comments below! Join the Discord to ask us questions for future episodes! bit.ly/lodgediscord
i can easily take 600 middle schoolers
When did you guys realize that you could actually start doing music full time?
i enjoyed this sm
Currently pursuing music as a hobby as I’m from a dead country town where the only other musicians just want to learn covers and no one wants to listen to a bass and vocals album. I have never met a drummer
Where are you from if you don’t mind me asking
Man of no musles mentioned 🗣️🔥🦅‼️‼️‼️‼️
i would love to make it a career, but never thought bout it cause of money… i love songwriting, i love expressing feelings and i love reading those lyrics that my heart unconsciously writes at 3am and realizing how much sense they make… i love how music can really connect my brain to myself, so yeah, i would love to live making music, but i cant mix tho
Idk tbh I am going to attend a music production course to become better and possibly work with music in the future. My goal is just to feel perfectly comfortable with every part of the process while making the kind of music I want to make. lol I love Ivan Ajvazovskij no way
i would say currently i’ve been a hobbyist with music but i do want to make it a career
Bangerrr
This episode's question: Are you pursuing music as a career or hobby? Answer in the comments below! Join the Discord to ask us questions for future episodes! bit.ly/lodgediscord
I wanna answer last episode's question hshshshsh I have a very weird relationship with music. I have a lot of fun making it when I don't care about making something good but the moment I start to try and learn complicated stuff that instantly goes away. So for the 3 years I've been making music on and off, I just kind of did what I found inspiring or funny and decided to focus more on what my actual passion is, which is art and animation. So for a while I basically gave up on making music because I thought it would never take me anywhere. Then, after time went by I kind of figured out that, while my music wasn't that great, I really enjoyed telling stories through that and transferring them into a visual medium, like animation. I realized that I didn't need to be the best in every hobby/skill I had and I could just mix them all together from worst to best. That way I'd keep doing what I love, just having fun and not feel like I should do only one thing because it's what I'm best at, you know. I just wanna try everything out, eat a little bit of everything, etc.
Great insight!
Where to ask them?
The most important thing is the emotion conveyed.
