So very British, his reaction to seeing people. I love it.
Tragic loss to the world of comedy and to his family
Why hasn't there been a This Is Your Life for Don Warrington?
Truly bizarre seeing Rigsby & Fletch together
I would’ve thought he was too young to do this
Leonard Rossiter,,Rigsby was a great Squash player, once ranked in top5,in England
He was part BURMESE, from his father's side
He was married previously in 1965 when he was 18yrs and had his first daughter in 1966.
Little did he know his second daughter would grow up to be a famous actress...
The way he looked at Ronnie says it all!! Greatness knows Greatness
its almost like they knew they couldn't wait until he was older?
He was pressurized into this at a point he wanted to get away from sitcoms & he had 4 movie projects waiting including 2 Hollywood movies. He was about to embark on the movie versions of Porridge & Rising Damp & Porridge writers Dick Clement & Ian La Frenais had wrote a movie screenplay called THE SUNSHINE KID in which he would have played an English limousine chauffeur in Hollywood who becomes a sensation as a stand up comedian in the US & more importantly Arthur, the Dudley Moore comedy was written with Richard in mind after writer/director Steve Gordon had seen him in Funny Peculiar in the west end. That movie made Dudley Moore a huge success in America & i have no doubt Richard could have been even more successful
Im surprised they did a This is Your Life for a 29 Yr old? Seems odd to me as he was only getting going in his career.
Kate Beckinsale (Underworld leather lady) father.
He would of been a huge star. However Ronnie Barker stole the show on this night though. Ronnie was an absolute class act and one of the Comedians of the century. Leonard Rossiter was another legend and its mad to think Don Warrington is still doing Sitcoms ❤
Richard was a different level of class👌
My Mum used to point him out in Crewe when I was very young. I didn't believe her. Turned out he had a theatre company at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe
That was fantastic! Oh times have changed eh? I remember how upset I/everyone was when the news broke. Such a tragedy to lose him so young . He was handsome, funny and very talented . ❤
Luck they did this now
His daughter is fit asf
What a handsome guy he was 😘
His early death must surely be one of the most saddest occurrences in all of british show biz history 😢
a star that burns twice as bright.
He didn't look well in this
He was a great double act with Rigsby, and also Philip
What about his other daughter? Why wd they leave that out?
I dont remember when he died in 1979. I was 9 at the time. Such a great shame he died way before his time at the age of just 31.
Great lad but why put him on the show so young ???? Bad production choice so early.
Just as well they did
God bless him...he passed away to early 😢😢
What a humble guy he was x❤
So, it was Richard that Arnie nicked "I'll be back" from then! 😂
Lovely guy! ❤
Wrong the doctors didnt suspect anything
It's upsetting to know that he had been checked by doctors and got a pass-- without the scans and tests we have now I guess lots of things were missed. Heart-wrenching- he seemed so real and so sweet.
Sadly missed never forgotten 🙏
Such a tragic loss.
Life can be cruel
What brilliance and loss to the nation, rip Richard Beckinsale
This would have run and run and run……….
Thank you for the unload
From a time when life was uncomplicated, comedy innocent 😔
Tragic he died so young. He was well loved by the British viewing public. ❤
Love the fact that Ronnie Barker, Sergeant Mackay and wee Kate made an appearance!!! He is also having a cigarette on cam 😅😅😅... British talent at its best!!!
High cholesterol etc got him in the end albeit he passed so many medicals. Let that be a lesson, get second opinions and be your own advocate for your health. ❤
He was soooo good looking! A bright shining star... ❤
I grew up watching reruns of Rising Damp as a kid in the 90s and he was my first crush. He's honestly one of the most gorgeous men that's ever lived.
Was there any mention of his other daughter Samantha?
Samantha didn't know who her father was until a year after this aired (which is strange seeing how identical they are) They reunited a year before he died 😢
Shame they couldnt film when Penelope could be there
Before Manor Born
Never mentioned his first wife and daughter like they were apart of his life .
Pointless comedy actor. He wasn’t funny and wasn’t really of dramatic quality. This was first broadcast November 23 1977. Richard also appeared on the Leonard Rossiter edition on February 5 1975 .
