I'd argue its a worthwhile trade seeing as Dasp is the best its been in a while. Having the option to change your playstyle between big/small game hunting while still having the option to stick to a more neutral path if you don't want to choose between one or the other is pretty nice. My only real complaint is making the senses slot exclusive to bite seeing as you're forced to group with someone using bonebreak if you actually want the full break effect.

Thank you As for the arsenal then, at the time, I was trying out different combinations. Some of which in insight didn’t make sense. Tho against pycno or any creatures faster then you, I’d just run the same stuff as I would against high tiers. (With the exception of the hide depending on the creature’s size) Fracture dmg might slow them down a little but, as you saw with the pycno, it’s not impossible to keep up with their speed, so I invest in dmg output.

I think the best built is piercing bite, the extra peirce damage sense, dense scutes, and rampage is the best build. It's somewhat hard for dasp to get a full bone break or a worthy fracture agaisnt an opponent who isn't stupid. You should prolly use the extra damage or knockback resistant subspecies instead. heavy bite only does 20 damage more than the default bite which is ok but the charge up doesn't make it worth it imo

Honestly it’s difficult to say for sure. As far as slowing down faster opponents, if you’re able to land the attack, they might slow down a little bit allowing you to deal a bit of dmg with your faster standard bite. But not to the point of killing them or before the effect runs off allowing them to escape. I’d say take a defensive stance. When they attack you, use your faster standard bite and tail to keep them off your rear. Once they tire themselves running around you, give chase. They might be faster than you but at this point, you should be able to outstam them and catch up.

Perhaps a mixture of both inexperience and bad luck. A dasp can hit hard and the bleed from a conc is not to be underestimated.

Interesting, first of all, thank you for taking the time to look this up. And secondly, if the numbers on what the stacked tyrant ally can do is true, then yes. The shortcomings are in a way negated. Considering the lethality, it’s good it can only be stacked twice. Furthermore putting strong legs for knock back resistance + subspecies, and tail riding might become even more effective. Ofc even with the buffs, the attacks from an apex still hurt so I wouldn’t be starting face tanking. But the stat difference has certainly lessen.

Interesting suggestion. Will have to research on this. As for lowest, can’t really decide between the bottom of IC or the hole in DF. As for highest, we’ll have to see if that location is even accessible for non flyers.

That’s a little brutal… LOVE IT! Definitely adding that on. In addition to what you said, it will also force me to move around more rather than just sitting in one place waiting for something to happen or just walk aimlessly looking for action.

Basically the game has updated since the upload of this video. Creatures may have gained new abilities or boost in stats that may deem certain strats less effective. Ofc, that doesn’t mean the video is completely useless. It can serve as a foundation for your fighting and then you can adapt as you go.

pycno is good, just hard to play. daze is important for balance, what pycno needs is his passive to not proc through self damage and a second leg slot. thats it.

Yes. All the calls can be activated even if you’re solo. It’s just, some work better in groups and vice versa, but you probably already knew that.
