Axis & Allies Online: Explaining my Defensive Profiles (Tutorial)
มุมมอง 859 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Here I will explain the basics of what a defensive profile is and how to utilise them to there full effectiveness. I explain the profiles I've created for myself and use in every game I play. I understand that this video will not be for everyone, however you might learn a thing or two. I do not claim that my profiles are the 'best' or the 'meta' in any way, that is not the purpose of the video....

GG, I'm going to tell my subs about your channel I really like your videos!!!
Thank you! Wow, that is really generous of you man, I honestly don't have any words. I'm glad you enjoyed them, it's great people are learning from and enjoying the videos I create.
I think you had to keep the transport battleship and constantly harass Egypt, they your Burma pressure and caucus pressure would be less. He had Africa secured, so he can just do what he wanata with England
I strongly agree. I do think sacking the transport to take out an exposed fighter was not worth it in the end. The UK's power shows throughout the game, which otherwise might have not been the case if I contested North Africa.
@@bonkcc_ Yeah, there may be better ways to deal with the situation, but I think that was what i usually do. I am in gold so so that good. :P
Can't blitz through a complex
Haha, thanks man!
As far i know you cant Blitz a factory
Thanks man!
Thank you for this!! I feel like i am always wrecked turn 1. Maybe setting some defensive profiles might help. Im 1 for 5 for my placement matches so far
No problem. Feel free to take some ideas from mine. Defensive profiles are vital to winning your games, because if you think of it this way 1/2 of the game is in control of the opponent. So setting an effective defensive profile is essential to gain some control back from you opponent. Good Luck!
Thank you so so much!!!! Defensive profiles are one reason I don’t play more ranked games. Seems too complex. But you explained it all very well, and I think the super fine-tuning would only be needed at Platinum level.
I'm glad I could help out!
I think you might have been underestimating the German firepower you had up against Russia, you had very overwhelming odds for a turn 6 attack. Personally I'd have gone for it on turn 5. You had a better than even chance of just taking Moscow outright, but even if he'd held out you had more on the way and he didn't. I think he was right to tap out. He might have been able to clear out the Japanese navy, but you could have just bunkered up Japan itself and been fine. He didn't have anything going on that could have relieved the pressure on Moscow, and once that fell there's really no way for him to get back into it. His Pacific play was going to be way too slow to have a serious impact before the game was already decided in Europe.
I just calc it, yeah I didn't realise I had decent odds. About 90% chance to conquer on round 5, about 98% on round 6 haha. I'll keep an eye out in the future for sure now!
You're referring to the West Russia Jam. It has been used by some very high level players with quite a bit of success. I've started experimenting with it myself.
Cool name. What do you think of it? I saw it on one of youtube.com/@dzmcgaming4769 streams a while back. The lads he plays with seem to love that tactic.
Enjoyed this vid too. I’m learning a lot from you. What Rank are your opponents?
Great to hear! I'll start putting the ranks of my opponents in the description and I might make an intro adding that info to. I don't know the rank of this guy, it's been too long since this game and it won't show up on my game history anymore.
Great stuff here. I liked the decision to go KJF. Learning a lot from watching your vids.
Awesome to hear. Glad people are learning from my vids!
Anhwei is always dangerous for some reason.
On round 1 it does have a history if being deadly. Japan 1 is always a bit nerve-racking, so much to do with a limited unit pool.
Is there any reason , you take infantry from southern europe, rather than italy to trasjordon? coz i always felt that extra infantry will give a shot to trade ukraine.
I think it is a minor mistake I keep doing. It's more efficient to take the artillery from SE with the infantry from Italy to Trans-Jordan, then move the infantry from SE to Bulgaria-Romania to trade Ukraine. Thanks for pointing it out!
I play almost exclusively as Allies. I really love it when I can get the Indian fleet into the Mediterranean. That creates so many problems for Axis. You can quickly secure all of Africa, then have flexibility for british strikes into Eastern Europe while simultaneously shielding Africa and to some degree India from the Japanese. The downstream economic value of this is enormous. I view the game like this. Germany is standing on a chair trying to reach up and grab Moscow. The chair has 4 legs - North Africa, Scandinavia, Framce, and the luftwaffe. If you can chop out two legs, Germany is really going to struggle to balance and reach. If you can chop out three, Germany will need to be both very skilled and very lucky to pull it off.
I agree, it just depends whether or not Germany takes Trans-Jordan. Securing africa early on makes UKs game a lot smoother in general (as you'll see in my next upcoming allies game). I love the analogy here, definately sums up Germany in a KGF.
It wasn't over, he could have sacked the transports to get both EI and Borneo, which is the correct play and then destroyer blocked you from taking it back. Typically, the goal of the US in a KJF is to do just that, and then pull back the fleet and land everything he has the next turn into one or two of those territories. "If" the Allies can get the money Islands before the Axis get Moscow then there's a chance for them. By the way you had a round 6 timing on Moscow with a one-two punch. :) I've played him once before and beat him as well. I think his SZ37 strategy is a good one but only if he follows up with a UK push into China, with some indirect help from the Russians, then it works, otherwise it almost always fails. KJF's are very hard to pull off even from season vets, but if you're going to do it then all three allies need to contribute to throw Japan off from the get go. GG!
Yeah, as much as I'm happy with the result, I'm a bit gutted it didn't continue. I felt like the allies were not completely out. One more round the US investment into the pacific would of paid off, and could of possibly snowballed from there. The investment into ACs and fighters seems like the perfect counter to Japans bombers and subs, so he definately had the odds to at least force himself into SZ 37 and/or SZ 47. Like I said, after round 1 the UK didn't really do anything to assist the US with Japan. Eventually, the US could maybe take on Japan solo, but it takes time, which the allies won't have if Germany is knocking on Moscow's door. Thanks man!
I only need mainly US and UK to KJF. It does take some fine balance.
@@IFS2023 Of course, I tend to do exactly that. The only influence Russia will have is stacking Bury with a uk fighter, and sending a unit to Szechwan and Sinkang (What I normally do). I have a feeling that might not work in Platinum games though. Complete different caliber. From my experience low to mid level gold players don't know how to defend a KJF, so this works effectively. That's just my opinion though!
Just discovered your channel. Really great to see more some good A&A vids on you tube. I really enjoyed your strategy and tactics. I’m not a very good player and learned a lot from watching you. Your voice was a bit soft at the start of the video but it seemed to come good at the end. My only suggestion for improvement is that the “camera” moved around too much. It gave a bit of vertigo. All in all, great vid, I’ve subscribed to your channel and I’m looking forward to your future vids. 😊
Much appreciated. Yeah I'm still configuring my audio ratio between game and microphone, but it should have improved in the latest couple of videos. Haha, I've notice I'm a bit sporadic with my movement during the game whilst I've been editing, and I'm trying to reduce that. Thanks for the input. 👍
Nice game (Come on people only 21 subs???) Yeah I agree I'm playing a similar game now on my channel, the difference is that Japan does have Cauc, which if he didn't the game would be over, it is so integral for the Japanese to hold Cauc or they can't beat the Allies, IMO. Well played.
Haha, much appreciated man! That's awesome, I've watched a couple of your axis games, and learned some pointers. I agree Cauc is vital, in a KGF Germany has to give up Cauc, so Japan can transition. Japan producing 4inf from Cauc and 3 tnks from India is Killer. The problem is if the Allies understand the signs they won't fall for it.
Can you make a video on your defensive profiles. You got a lot haha
I could, I'll think about it. Some of my profiles are for very specific situations.
Really appreciate the explaining of your thought process throughout these videos. Really learned a lot 😊
I'm really glad to hear that! I have to limit myself sometimes, otherwise I get carried away and get stuck on tangents haha
Nice to watch you! But please lower the game music .. thx!
Much appreciated. No worries I'm still trying to find the sweet-spot for microphone and game audio.

Sometimes when I can't stack Karelia round 1 as Germany, I put 3 infantry and an A-A gun there...On USSR round 2, the opponent often takes too few units to retake the territory and loses the battle, or too many, and leaves a large stack of units to get wiped out by Germany on Round 2...
Very interesting. Never considered utilizing the AA in such a way. I like that it will force russia to make a tough decision on an awkward situation soo early on, bonus if russia already had a rough round 1. I'll give it a go on my next axis game 👍
