Using special heat resistant tape to seal up the gap between the CPU fan and the heatsink after servicing this Acer laptop. I bought this from Aliexpress and it's called "Black Acetate Cloth Single-sided Adhesive Tape Wire Binding High Temperature Resistance Tape"

My client asked me to take a look at his Razer gaming laptop as it was power cycling for quite a long time when switched on, before it would boot into Windows. The date was completely wrong so I suspected a dead CMOS battery.

This is the Sonos speaker from the last video. A solar power installation business sent an over-voltage of 400V+ into the customers house, damaging most of the appliances and electronics gear. The MOVs saved both speakers by shorting out and blowing the fuses on the PCBs.

My customer had solar power fitted and the installer managed to send a big voltage spike through his house, damaging most of his appliances and electronic equipment. I usually fix computers but he asked me to see if I could fix these Sonos One SL speakers.

These Dell laptops have captive screws near the hinges which open up the casing as you remove them. This makes it easier to get started with your opening tools. Thanks Dell!

Arguably a good aircooler tends to be better than a lot of AIOs anyway! As things like the PA120/PS120 now, and the Scythe FUMA then - show, CPU air coolers with good case airflow were and ARE still a significant fighter in the water/air debate :D It’s only when we start talking about custom loops with >1 radiators do watercooling’s benefits really become apparent anyway I think :D

I've had a gaming PC with no side panel, just open to the air, for 2-3 years and it works just fine. It only has 1 cpu fan.
