When I first heard this last year, I thought it sounded very similar to "Dreams Dreams" from NiGHTS into dreams... And the town the kids of the story live in is called Twinseed. Anyone think this song inspired that song or am I crazy? 🥲 Both are among my favourite songs of all time. ❤

I remember this from 1988 had the words to it in smash hits then too. Had it on cd also. Very nice tune as others have put too thank you too.

When this album was first released, I didn't listen to this song much. About a year later, I was on the internet. I found a website that had radio stations from around the world. I stopped on a Japanese station and heard this song. Then later I went to another Japanese station and heard the song again. This song got little to no airplay in the U.S. but was getting play in Japan. So I started to listen to it and started to recognize the genius of the song. The melody, background vocals, and Miles Davis haunting trumpet really sealed the deal on this song for me. 😊

I had this on vinyl years ago, and a mate had had a hifi shop, went there and listened to this track on his most expensive equipment with speakers like wardrobes.

Like their other songs, Oh, Patti by Scritti Politti from 1988 is also underrated. It is a well-crafted thought-out ballad. Attractive enough to be pop yet sophisticated to include a solo by legend Miles Davis who knew talent when he saw it. 35 years on, it remains timeless.
