I just feel that if you're going to wear a jumper over your shoulder and have it draping when you're already wearing a coat. May I suggest opting for a scarf instead?

Benedict Cumberbach’s coat is definitely not the Private White, Permanent Style coat. That one has concealed buttons down the front. The one he’s wearing doesn’t.

I like the sweater over shoulders, but not sure it makes sense over a jacket though. It only feels practical in transitional weather to go from 1 to 2 layers as needed.

For all the people who have such an ideological problem against a sweater around the neck, you have to realise that it's there to indicate that the wearer may have intentions of wearing it, even if they have a suit jacket on at the moment; they may take the jacket off in favour of the sweater alone or even pair the two actually, as has been done throughout the history of those items. So really the sweater around the neck is as cosmetic and functional as wearing any clothes at all 😂

Is he going to put that sweater over his suit? No. Sweater around shoulder if using as layer earlier or later in day. Putting around your shoulders for no apparent reason is just contrived and sad.

The herringbone coat over the green suit and black sweater fit is stunning . PS...would you ever consider doing one of those '20 questions' about yourself videos?

I appreciate this video very much, as I was watching it piqued my curiosity, I have a few vintage overcoats, and was wondering if any were raglan-style overcoats. I discovered indeed I do, in fact, I was about to give it away because I felt it was too long, it draped over my knees and I didn't want to have it altered. The state I live in is notorious for its chilly cold winters, so I wore it and was amazed at the warmth it provided, the manufacturer of the coat is Haggar it is in a light brown herringbone pattern with leather collar belted waist and matching belt straps on the sleeves thanks for sharing the video!

I purchased my Reglan coat from Todd Snyder, although I didn’t like the not 💯% wool composition it’s still a great coat and bought it at a significant discount so everything evens up.

It's defintely more like the Private White coat - a very close up inspection of the fabric of the PW vs the Valstar confirms this.

Love the raglan sleeve and just got my first Private White and very impressed! I’missed getting the same model in camel but watching for it. It’s a meaty coat.

I'm a big fan of the Stan - Brown Fleck Tweed Car Coat by Wax London. I tend to look a bit better in the brown tones than the grey haha. Great video! Also, for a very cheap option, Uniqlo has a very affordable entry level car coat.
