One of my favorites, pronounced ( E-ka-ni-e-day), which is Japanese for "Don't Go or Please don't go." This video was live-streamed for the Tokyo Jazz Festival because of travel restrictions due to Covid 19. Have you listened to Dimash's cover of Hello by Lionel Ritchie? He really made it his own. There is a series of short videos, 12 altogether entitled The Ultimate Dimash Guide. His mother was an opera singer, and his dad was a singer and music producer. Dimash said he went out on the stage when he was 2, and after hearing the audience applauded, he was hooked for being on stage. He said that since he was two, he has never wanted to do anything but sing, and his dream was to perform on large stages around the world...and he has done just that. He also said that if you were to cut open his heart, you would see music. He had a concert in Brooklyn in 21019 at the Barclay Center, just before travel restrictions were put in place, and one of his dreams was to perform on a huge stage in New York.

Dimash performed this song in 2018 after the Singer 2017 competition in China. I believe he was only 23 years old here. This concert was performed long before Putin invaded Ukraine. As a matter of fact, Kazakhstan, Dimash's motherland, had just gained its independence from Russia only a few years before Dimash was born. I just came upon your channel this morning and checked you out because your " One Sky" reaction caught my attention. He held that note in "Sinful Passion" for 22 seconds, including all the riffs and runs in one breath. I hope you check out so many other amazing songs of Dimash. Songs like Adagio, The Show Must Go On, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day, and Confessa/Diva Dance. These songs were performed when he appeared on The Singer in 2017 when he was 22. He wrote "Unforgettable Day" when he was 19. He only spoke Kazakh when he came to that show, and his first four songs were in French (SOS), Opera 2 ( Russian), The Show Must Go On (English), and Autumn Strong (Mandarin). The last time I checked, he now sings in 14 languages. He won his first piano competition at age 4 and began his music studies at age five. He now has his Ph.D. in music competition, all the while pursuing his education, he continued to compete and perform concerts around the world. Besides SOS, my favorite songs are Ikanaide (Japanese) Love Is Like A Dream, and Olympico., and Adagio. I don't know if you will see this very long comment since I'm late for this party, but I hope you do. I am a 75-year-old Black great-grandmother who has always loved all music...except hip hop and rap. Just keeping it 100. However, since my first time hearing Dimash, I now know real music.
