In short, no. --- In theory, the new version of bluetooth can allow it to do this in the future but, as of right now, they seem to have taken a step backwards in this department. Check out my Emberton II VS III for more details on this...was super disappointed with what was found.

No problem! Was super disappointed with this myself. Check out the Austin from Klipsch. May be the alternative you're looking for. Did a compare vs willen gen one a while back. It goes over all the specs and such if you want more info.

A lot of the times what happens is its designed and spec-ed in the US or, in Marshalls case -- I believe its UK. Drivers and components have to meet certain standards and while they are sometimes produced in mass in various locations, they should --- in theory --- meet the standards of the company that they are being put into. That applies to the bigger names anyways. Those standards can also vary based on what company we are talking about. Some of the smaller ones are the same (sometimes garbage) speakers re-branded and reused under various umbrellas. All of that said, newer doesn't mean better or worse. It can go either way. I wouldn't say that the newer is of any less production quality than the previous gen. My biggest frustration was with the lack of/removal of features.

Rock it man! Purple isnt my usually go-to but, that specific purple is legit one of my favorite colors offered. It pops really nicely.

@@AudioInsideScoopI pulled the trigger before I read your reply. Ordered at 7am from Amazon. 5 hours later I was rockin it lol. This is the second speaker you convinced me to purchase. The first being the Willen. The JBL is for the walks (belt loop) and The Marshall is for commuting on my bicycle. Both will get lots of use mos def. Cheers!

@@AudioInsideScoopEven though the Clip 5 sounded ok right out the box I still had to eq. There wasn’t enough warmth and the highs were a smidge too fatiguing for my listening pleasure. Luckily there’s a custom because all the presets sucked lol.

Thanks for watching! The Detroit is honestly on a different level compared to the emberton. I'm confident the Detroit would blow it away. Emberton is more on par with the Nashville. Check out the review I did on those two. Was a pretty close match. If we were looking to compare to Marshall though, I may pick up a middleton here shortly. Think those two would be a pretty fair match!

I honestly don't know. Was kinda feeling the same way. Check out my review style compare between the two if you haven't already. We dig into a lot more of the specs and I give my thoughts on the two side by side. I haven't torn them apart but, my guess would be a combo of tech/R&D and quality of components. JBLs goal is to make good sound. Ortizans goal is lower price point. Both have their places but, if you're looking for good quality sound, I would lean away in the direction of the JBL.

I haven't done a direct side by side but, based on my compare of emberton 2 vs 3, I think the nashville is still going to come out of top when we do. The emberton 2 actually took the compare between the 2 and 3. Some interesting stuff with this new release and it's definitely not all good. Check that video out too if you haven't already.

Thanks for watching! Klipsch has made portables for a while but, nothing quite on this level. In my opinion the new line blows away the old grooves and gigs that they've come out with in the past. What were your thoughts on the Flex? I've been considering getting one of those on the show to compare to the Nashvilles and Flips and such but, never been a huge fan of Bose. When you get the Nashville, let me know how it compares if ya could and if it would be worth bringing on the show. :)

Yep! You can use what they call broadcast mode to connect other detroits, or other speakers in the line to play together.

Love it when it's new---But I can't keep it looking that way for more than...roughly 37 minutes? Haha. If you're prone to stains or want something that you can toss around, black may be the winner. If you're more careful and can keep it cream colored, it looks great! Mine is currently grass stained.

Thanks for watching! Same price makes it difficult but, completely stock, I would lean more towards gen 1s sound profile. If you are looking to connect/stack mode, gen 1 is the only option at the moment. (See my Emberton video releasing tomorrow for more info on this). If you are going to use one of the EQ settings to adjust the sound profile a bit, and connect mode doesn't matter to you, gen 2 is going to be the better option with newer and better Bluetooth/battery/tech. let me know what you ultimately decide and your thoughts once you get it!!

@@AudioInsideScoopSo I was able to get The Willen for 50 bucks. Granted it’s refurbished but I still consider this a mad good deal because it’s a refurb done by the manufacturer. I purchased from a company called Secondipity, I’ve ordered from them once before and the item I ordered was in pristine condition. So I trust that’s going to be the case this time around too. It arrives in 3 days ☺️

Thanks and thanks for watching! Yeah, you can pair as a R/L Pair or have full output to both speakers. It's your choice which mode you want to put it in and there is a different button press sequence to determine the mode. I haven't really noticed much, if any lag but, a lot of this will also be dependent on the connected device. You'll want the later gen BT chip on your phone/tablet/computer as well -- or it may bottleneck your connectivity.

I try to be as informative as possible and help however I can. Appreciate you saying that. :) As for the W9 and the 350 killer, if you like the sound of Klipsch/Detroit, have you given The Three a listen? It's not a portable speaker but, to my knowledge, those two aren't either, are they? May be something to check out! As for fully portable though, Detroit's been my favorite in this tier. Plan to move on to the party speakers at some point in the future though. We will see how those do in comparison.

Thanks! and thanks for watching! To be fully transparent, I have never messed with the 1st version in person so --- Ill be commenting based on gen II alone. Starting with sound, I dont *think* sound profile changed much gen 1 to gen 2 in Marshall. I personally like the sound of the Klipsch better but, Marshall is a close second for me. If you already own the emberton and it sounds good, I don't see a need to upgrade for sound. Now...Tech wise, Youll get a huge bump in battery life moving to a new gen. More than double brand new. Bluetooth tech has also moved forward so, youll get a better connection and more range out of a Nashville or Emberton II. ----All of that said, the Emberton III was just released. I haven't gotten my hands on it yet but just got it into the studio and will be breaking it out shortly. I plan to do a compare of gen II vs Gen III and then a compare of Gen III to the Nashville. You may want to hold off and scope that option out as well.. That may be the one to go for based on the specs i've read. :)

Thanks for watching! Yeah, when you give it that extra juice, it'll sing! I find that most of these portables sound best around 80% volume but with klipsch, you're typically good all the way through the range. They've tuned it really well at all points.

Thanks for watching and for your thoughts! In some cases, a tune can help immensely. Even on the higher tier brands, tuning to your liking can make a huge difference. That said, I would say the vast majority of people are listening straight out of the box and will never touch these options. Having something that you can just yank out of the box, connect, and listen is key.

Actually most of them are not flat eq'ed. Most are crappy on treble and too high on bass, I've had tons of them and yeah usually unless you are using studio monitors or studio headphones, the speakers are gonna be bass heavy
