Just another person that's addicted to shooting a traditional bow and everything about them. Looking to spread traditional archery the best I can.

This was a video I made from a hunt in 2021. People can get turned around on things like this so opted not to release till now. I feel like it’s a lesson everyone will learn eventually.

He kicked the bucket hahahalol. Yellow bucket!
Nuisance bears are collared and tracked when they are relocated. Bear might have been very aggressive or destructive.
We discovered it to be a gasket of some sort from an irrigation pipe. Must have happened when it was young.
Awesome video brother! Congratulations again!
As soon as I heard your voice, I thought…”I heard this guy before”. Then the Broken Arrow podcast hat. Congrats!
Thanks!! I try and keep the TH-cam and the podcast separate but there is definitely a bit of overlap here and there lol 😂
The whole story with this hunt is so crazy. I’m really glad that you got your buck!
It was a wild week for sure!! Appreciate it!!
That's great you got em!!! It was hard to see the impact of the arrow. The arrows looked like it grazed the leg bone and deflected into the chest cavity. I bet that arrow was bouncing around as the buck was running creating more damage!!!! Nice with the trad bow and a bundle full of nerves!!!!
He definitely didn’t go far in the end. The assumption of him being dead quick or alive played out to be true. Feel free to email at schafermagnant@gmail.com I have some photos of the aftermath.
Those cool warrior bucks are just as special, if not more so, as a monarch. I’ll be texting you with nudges to head west of the Mississippi next year, maybe even further on a semi normal basis now.
We couldn’t believe the shape of the antler that was still there, let alone it having 7 points on it!!
Great buck!! Congratulations!!
Thank you!!!!
Nice shot Schafer! Really enjoyed the video and cant wait to listen to the podcast! You deserve that one buddy, congrats.
Thanks Jimmy!!!
Whats the thing in your hand called (not the bow but the release/ hand guard)
It’s a tab, this particular one is a Safari Tuff tab
@ thanks. I had no idea what they were called in english 🤣
Schafer, I am glad to see you get your first buck. you have certainly earned it. There will be more hunts to come. Your truck can be replaced but you are not. Give thanks that you were not hurt. Wax well the String. Ray O.
Really appreciate that Ray!!
great video, thanks brother
Thank you!
Good job Schafer!
Thank you!!!
Congratulations! Big fan of the broken arrow podcast. First TH-cam I have seen from you in my recommended. Always nice to put a face to the voice. Subscribed for more!
Appreciate that!!! I try and keep the two separate but there definitely some overlap here and there. I also don’t share the TH-cam channel a ton so it’s just growing naturally.
Just listened to this Episode of the Podcast and now the video ❤ you guys really started the fire for heavy Setups and hopefully one day I can hunt with my tradbow
It’s addicting for sure!! I’ve always been a big proponent of shooting as much as you can without going overboard. Whether the results would have changed I’m not sure but I’m happy I had it.
Congratulations, cool hunt
Thank you!!!
Nice job Schafer, awesome hunt and video all together! Congrats!
Appreciate that once again!!
sucks about the truck but great hunt and congrats on the buck.
Thanks Jason!! Time to start thinking pigs here shortly!
Great video. New camera is so clear!
It’s a pain to film with here and there but it’s definitely clean!!
Rutcation reference killed me 😂
Congratulations!
Thank you!!
Great video Schafer. Super happy for you.
Really appreciate it!!
Great job buddy.
Thanks Matt!!
Congrats! Way to keep going after the truck got totaled. Those sharp vpas did the trick on that shoulder. Incredible. Your set up was dialed enough to make up for being an inch or two off. All the hard work on your bow and arrow set up was worth it.
It was definitely a roller coaster of a week. But happy it worked out!!
look like he dropped and went back if hed stood for it i believe youd been in the pocket
I know he didn’t seem that wired when I shot. He was all about the doe that’s for sure so I knew I had to make a decision quick
congratulations nice hunt nice hit stop putting yourself down you did great you use a real bow and arrow and put food on your table .
Appreciate that!!!
Congrats, nice deer ! Enjoy
Thanks, will do!
Sorry about the truck , but congrats on your deer.
All and all the week seemed worth while!
Great job, man! Excellent video and congrats on a fine buck!
Thanks a bunch!
One of the best videos I’ve watched this season. Love watching blue collar family guys enjoying diy success. Sorry about your truck.
Thanks so much!
Way to make the trip count man. Glad you're safe as well. It's nice for you to see a lot of deer too, it must be a nice change 😀.
It was a chaotic week but a good one!
Nice work
Thanks Matt!
Awesome job Schafer!!! Great video, thanks for putting it together.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool video!
Thanks Bill!!
Great video Shafer thanks for sharing!
Happy you liked it!!
Great video! Thanks for the help. I was struggling sharpening broadheads. I just was not making enough passes on the stone.
Good hunt. Seeing deer consistently is half the battle.
Yikes, that's a beautiful bow❤
Beautiful woods man!
Great time in the woods.
Just a matter of time Schafe!
soon they will rut lol
I always look forward to your videos and podcast
What release are you using
Safari Tuff Tab
Vermont is beautiful
How many pounds is your bow, looks like your fighting it a bit when you draw back. Ok 55 pound bow, I just heard you say. Did I miss it, what stump heads are you using ?
54@29 and I draw a bit over 30. So more or less in the 56-57# range. I enjoy having the weight there myself. I also find that I have the same level of shakes if you will with any weight bow. Not sure what it is, but just keeping tension for me causes it, not matter how solid full draw feels. As far as stumping head, I typically use a judo adapted to 200 grains with the 75 grain steel adapter. Or an ace hex head.
Great video! Thanks for your support!
Cool. Stumping is the best practice in my opinion. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just started the video but I have to say your logo is fantastic, shirts?
