Sneasler is NOT WASHED in Reg G... Here's Why
We were wrong about Sneasler... Miraidon and Sneasler just won a big Reg G tournament! A lot of people (including myself) called the pokemon outdated but it proved to be a strong call here. I will also go over the other top teams from the tournament and will give my predictions for next weeks regional.

Great to see that some more "creative" Pokemon and sets are starting to appear in these online tournaments now; it's mostly been teams we already knew from the first run of reg G dominating the meta so far, perhaps with the exception of the Groudon teams. Not so great to see Sneasler win it, though.
When I saw people calling sneasler washed people were capping when you pair it up with miraidon and rillaboom urshifu is gonna get pressured it didn't make sense to me at the time.

I played the yuta caly ice team, stated 6-0 but lost 3 really close matches vs zama i beat the lando i zama team in swiss, don't know their other losses
When the world didn't want Sneasler most They returned.
I like like the videos! Video chapters would be appreciated for each team/mon you go over. I'll often go back and rewatch when prepping.

That pagos day 2 conversion rate is bad. The thing I like about Zama is the flexibility in not needing to tera it nearly as often as the rest of the restricteds. Body pressing Incin is satisfying too. Although I imagine more counter play to it is coming.
With Zama, many of it's teammates handle it's counters very well. Like for example, Chandelure makes Koraidon useless. Latios M walls Groudon. Chi Yu if it's running Choice Scarf is probably the only mon that makes Zama tera right away from what I see.

I think Terapagos' biggest issue will be being weak to fighting moves (except at full health while not tera'd) and not being to do anything about it by tera'ing Related to that the 2nd biggest issue is that sometimes you want to tera for all that brings, but you lose Tera Shell
A Chople Berry doesn't count since who would run that, but now I'm curious how choples interact with Tera Shell since you take a not effective hit so would the chople only activate when Tera Shell isn't active?

Thatsaplusone wasnt making it for OTS and big tournaments etc, he was also including ladder, in which he made a mewtwo team to prove everyone wrong that mewtwo is viable, just saying! Edit: also just to add on he says only worry about the matchups between highest tiers with your own team and disreguard everything else (B tier below) he knows they are not insane
i personally wouldnt use mewtwo still but i respect it for a content team
Thatsa’s particular brand of content is showcasing suboptimal or underused picks and he tries to maximize their niche. However he primarily plays on ladder and not in tournaments. When he used mewtwo he proved that it can technically do some work but he didn’t prove that it was a viable choice in top competitive tournament play. I can respect his tier list from his content/ladder perspective but I think Joe is right about it being pretty whack when compared to actual tournament results.

I think the more relevant things he explained in his Mewtwo vid are: 1. that if you pick a mon in B tier; you are just there to have fun. Don’t get it in your head that you’re gonna win a regional level event bc if you wanted to do that you’d pick something else. But it’s usable in OTS and on ladder. 2. If a non restricted can come close to doing the job of your restricted, that’s even worse. Rayquaza is just super Dragonite so he doesn’t seem to respect it. And if that’s your line of thinking when you’re ranking then I think that Mewtwo is basically where it should be.
