Feb 20, 1987 was a Friday and I was 15 so I'm sure I watched this episode. I don't remember a lot of commercials during the movies. It didn't seem like 30 minutes of commercials but when you started seeing more commercials than you saw Fritz you knew he was about to sign off and the anthem was coming up, but I still waited for the sign off. I would always watch the anthem film. You know, back when TV stations shut off for the night. Fritz was the best! In the 80's in west central Ohio he was THE late night movie host. Thank you Fritz, it was a lot of fun.

I remember us getting a Cedar Point travel guide in the mail, and seeing the Berenstain Bears' Bear Country in the first few pages. 15:42 - Sohio, of course, would give way to BP much later... 16:40 - Jym "Three snows till the forsythia blooms" Ganahl's still doing the weather, only for ABC-6 now.

This brings back so many amazing memories. Great ones and very bad ones. Regardless this is our past. Think how much the world has changed. Last thing I wanna do is be negative. Things were so much more innocent then no one in the trillion years thought that things would be as bad as they could be now however, if you listen to David Wilkerson back in 1987. It was just a preamble for all the things we could’ve changed back then that we didn’t. God bless you all. God, please forgive us all.

Bob Tisch was the brother of Laurence Tisch, who was running CBS at the time this broadcast aired. (Tisch gained notoriety for his cost-cutting and layoffs, and was subject to criticism for not understanding the broadcasting business)
