"Nothing Else Matters" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica. A power ballad, it was released in 1992 as the third single from their self-titled fifth studio album, Metallica. "Nothing Else Matters" was featured as a playable track in the music video game Guitar Hero: Metallica. Recognized as one of Metallica's best known and most popular songs, it has become a staple in live performances.
Lead singer and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield wrote the song (credited to Hetfield/Ulrich) in 1990 while on tour, when Hetfield "was bumming out about being away from home. Initially, the song was not meant to be released, as Hetfield had written it for himself, but after drummer Lars Ulrich heard it, it was considered for the album. Hetfield initially had reservations about presenting the song to the band: "I thought that Metallica could only be the four of us. These are songs about destroying things, head banging, bleeding for the crowd, whatever it is, as long as it wasn't about chicks and fast cars, even though that's what we liked. The song was about a girlfriend at the time. It turned out to be a pretty big song."
Metallica (commonly known as The Black Album) is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released on August 12, 1991, by Elektra Records. Recording sessions took place at One on One Recording Studios in Los Angeles over an eight-month span that frequently found Metallica at odds with their new producer Bob Rock. The album marked a change in the band's music from the thrash metal style of their previous four albums to a slower, heavier, and more refined sound.
Metallica promoted Metallica with a series of tours. They also released five singles to promote the album: "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters", "Wherever I May Roam", and "Sad but True", all of which have been considered to be among the band's best-known songs. The song "Don't Tread on Me" was also issued to rock radio shortly after the album's release but did not receive a commercial single release.

First Time Hearing + Watching GHOST LOVE SCORE by Nightwish - Wacken 2013 [Combined Re-Upload]

I've combined two separate videos I've created into one. The first is an in-depth review of the studio version of Ghost Love Score by Nightwish, and the second is a reaction to them performing it live in Wacken, 2013. I received many comments suggesting they should be merged, so the contrast between versions is that much better. Hope you enjoy! Is there a song or album you want me to check out?...

♥ "Listen to the man"..... While I totally and unwaveringly agree to the sentiments of the sheer brilliance this song no doubt delivers, I am curious why we are not not commenting on the actual content of this masterpiece. What is our songwriter, Brian May, trying to stir inside of us all? The message of this song is truly an inspiration from God; assembled from a dream, to heed what the Bible tells us. The "man" is Jesus who came for our salvation. First as the "wise man", then he was called a "madman". Play it again and listen from the perspective as a believer, "Now you know, Now you know." ....."Love is still the answer, take my hand"....the powerful message of your salvation. "Now you know"....

I saw this tour in Dec. '88 in Rochester, NY...or was it Buffalo? Anyways, as a 17 year old the energy in that arena was something I had never felt before and now at 53 I still have yet to experience that energy at any show since. Also... it was probably 80% testes to 20% estrogen back then. Lol

Why is behind mask popular in the West? Ryuichi Sakamoto himself solved this mystery The melody is based on an R&B-based British rock guitar riff Ryuichi Sakamoto was also impressed by the lyrics added by Michael Jackson Created a self-remake with Bernard Fowler as guest vocalist I want to hear this black rock 'n' roll dance version with Michael Jackson's vocals Someone please remix the vocals with AI Michael Jackson is actually very good at singing soulfully th-cam.com/video/iZGodWO-oqY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GzKZ1fmBxB2zXDzc

I think pink and white is a Christian song, I know that sounds weird but think about it, he talks about glory from above and says something along the lines of you can die and come back to life just like Jesus and he talks about up’s and downs like you have ups and down in your faith

You Can Never Come To This Place was a huge turning point in my life. My friend Joe showed me the live version a bit over a year ago, and I became obsessed with this album and the sequel. (Probably have listened to both at least 50 times each.) The finale made me realize that we as humans are both the goblins, the valley, and the rainbow. At some point during our development, we lock our rainbow away to keep it safe. The 7 Goblins are the 7 deadly sins that cause us to behave in ways that separate us as individuals (like how the rainbow became seperate from the earth.) The plants and animals of the valley worked hard to keep the rainbow safe, and in the end, the rainbow realized that the world is too cruel for it to touch the ground. Then, in The White Goblin, the rainbow re-unites heaven and earth, repairing a shattered heart that prevents one from truly connecting to another (as is shown by the part where the Cave Goblins rediscover love and understanding.) There's a lot of stories within these two albums, and everyone has their own version of them. I think they also tell the story of humanities fall from grace, loss of innocence, as well as our redemption. A part of me believes that one day after the darkness is over, we'll create a world where we can all give one another full access to our hearts without fear, and each of our rainbows can touch the ground again.

I love the video of them singing their song for Andy (Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away at their One Night Only Concert in Vegas. It was so heartwarming the way they put a video of Andy singing it and they sang backup. Makes me think of how incredible it would have been if Andy had lived long enough to actually join the group. They had announced that he would be joining the Bee Gees as a permanent member in January of 88 but he passed away on March 10th of 88 just five days after his 30th birthday. I'll always wonder what it would have been like. I know it would have been even more epic than they already were and they were already incredible. Sad 😢, but grateful for every second all four brothers gave us.

Seems to me that your music theory expert has adopted an almost mechanical approach to grading, with essentially only one metric: complexity. The problem with this approach is that it will necessarily bias him to more favourably grading complex songs (such as the metal songs to which he alluded). But not all songs are written for the same purpose. Although I speak from ignorance, not having pursued any post-secondary education in music theory, I nonetheless posit that the acid test should be whether the artist appears to have nailed what the grader perceives to have been the the artist's objective for the song - whether by complex means or through the use of just a couple of chords largely played in a 4*4 cadence. Even then, I'm not sure any piece of music can properly be the subject of objectively analysis anyway. Good music moves us emotionally, but that feeling is necessarily subjective. While I appreciate the expert's attempt to contrive a uniform approach to evaluation (to facilitate the drawing of comparisons between and among the songs you grade), I think all he ultimately has is the pre-tense of objectivity that leaves no room for considering the feel of a song. But hey, it's all just for fun anyway. I'm only commenting because you invited it. It helps feed the algorithm and I'm happy to help.

I guess you could say I am one of those folks who a hard core are, diehard fan who has every record from Bee Gees' 1st down to This Is Where I Came In. "Desire" might be my favorite Andy song. I can hear from the demo, the Bee Gees didn't really have a chorus yet. My favorite album by the 3 older bros. is 1989's One! I saw them on tour that year!
