Hi. We are Danny & Jo. A couple in our 50's, who have sold our house and little Bed & Breakfast in Whatamango Bay, near Picton, in the Marlborough Sounds. Top of the South Island of New Zealand.
Everything we own is in a lock up, waiting our return in just over 6 months.
Our family dog, Ace, our Cocker Spaniel is waiting for us also. When we arrive home, we will continue on our adventure in our motorhome and travel around New Zealand for 6 months from Cape Reinga to the Bluff, with our four legged fur baby.
So, if you'd like to follow along side us on our 1 year adventure, like and subscribe to our personal travel vlog and see what a couple of kiwis get up to ......UK and Europe then another couple of countries at the end.....but you'll have to keep watching to see where we go.

This is a great spot for a mini break away at Kaikoura. You can cycle into the township from here, either on the road or via the Whale Trail.

It's very walkable...5 to 10 minutes from port terminal to the town

I can't remember, sorry. I didn't require one...Perhaps they did. Its still worth it. staff are on reception, so you could ask them.

How was the weather in July month it's too hot or normal hot
Hi there...it was hot hot ! Around 49, 50 °c . Everyone was indoors, malls, etc. The pollution index was extreme and they even had water mist sprays in the streets to bring people into the malls. We tried using the outdoor pool at the hotel, but it was too hot and the air was too polluted. We would visit again , however, not during the hottest times. Hope this helps 😄

Without running a direct comparison difficult to tell. Seems expensive. Is Pak n Save a discounter or mainstream food retailer?
Hi Andrew 😀 Pak n Save is a run of the mill supermarket. I'd say it's the cheapest we have in NZ. So, if you halved that receipt, that's roughly the equivalent of Sterling. We still think the UK prices are cheaper than ours. 👌
Are there lifts to the rooms as well as the stairs
Hi there. Yes, there are stairs, various ramps and lifts all over the resort. It's great! Would go back again. Enjoy!

Love this video. Partly because we were also there a year ago and it was cold and wet that time too. But a fabulous place to wander those streets like you say. Hope we all get a chance to see it in sunny times.
How fabulous is this. Totally envious of your interaction with those elephants. Your bucket list got short 1 item, and ours just grew an elephant sized addition 🐘
It is wonderful! Best thing we ever interacted with. Elephants are gorgeous animals. One item off our list, however another one added....we now want to go to an Elephant sanctuary in Africa! Happy travels to you 😀
What a hell of a fast corner that boat took 😯 You'd need to grip your dinner plate firmly there, and disaster if you choose that moment to lift your soup spoon 🤣 Its the first time we've ever seen that filmed. Wasn't aware of that loop. Well done capturing that.

Sorry for the late response. The locations were amazing. The weather in Rhodes was not bad. I went down to the town of Lindos and climb the acropolis on an excursion, and I explored the medieval town of Rodos

The lanterns are a sight to behold. A lot of locals write a message or the name of a lost loved one on them before releasing .CM is a cool place
