I know I’m a year late, but I’m new to drones and would love to learn and continue to increase my knowledge and get a better drone down the line, way down the line. Question, when it states that it hovers, hover to me is head straight up and stay in that position. So when I hit the left toggle up and the drone heads upward, it doesn’t just stay there, it heads on into another direction. I saw when you did the same inside, the same thing result. Can you give me a little insight, I’m scratching my head now. My hover means up and fly to one side. Of course it’s freezing where I am and I tried to fly it indoors because it reads that it “hovers”. Thanks for this video, I’ve had this drone for about a year or even two. The first time this happened when I got it, I just gave up and threw it back in the case, thinking awww shoot, it’s broken or I broke it when it ran into the wall😂😂. Again thanks for this video, it has given me a little courage to try it again. I’d like to take drone flying up as a hobby now that I’m retired. 😊😊😊

You were flying in 7mph wind and you attached weight to it. You also were in low speed mode. The high mode goes twice as fast. The BRUSHLESS motors hover steady. It takes 1.5 seconds to calibrate for the wind wind when first taking off. That is why they recommended using auto take off in the manual in winds over 3mph. I just upgraded my motors to a higher kv and added 3 prop propellers for speed and agility. 😅 It's a great video! You explained everything well.

Hello! Owner here (FTX Havok - same thing). This car is nice, but the drift tyres and the on road tyres will be dead after 2 packs if you use them outside. This is for inside drifting only if you don't want to spend money for new tyre set every time you come home after a session. In addition - The "upgraded" diffs and the spur gear and drive shaft gears are all made from potted metal "monkey metal" that strips at 21mph.... I made this in to brushless and all you will do is shred gears. so in short: this is a great car stock for a little fun indoors, not worth upgrading or using it as a starter platform for anything else (defo not speed runs)

I like running them, wrenching on them, building them. This model would be great for my six year old nephew. He is getting better at not breaking things!

I'm returning to RC , I used to have alot of nitro. They have issues but issues lol. OMG that 8T is awesome

To be fair though at those dimensions trying to get up to said speed will MOST DEFINITELY have been affected by that big wind catcher he made with the tape and speedo. Just think how much drag that set up has. At that scale it's obviously gonna change the cars speed. It's one of the reasons it's the shape it is without the speedo in the first place. The scale makes changes like that huge. That's a tiny area for drag before the tape and speedo and then the surface area for drag probably more than doubles? Am no mathematician but am reckoning your set up didn't help one bit for speed test.

This one is like one RC that I have, it says, Haiboxing on the box, but if you have a problem with it and call Haiboxing, they will tell you thar Haiboxing doesn't manufacture the RC and that their is nothing they can do to help you !

You really shouldnt compare the new BL-2S vehicles against the Arrma Senton, since they are not really compatible. For example, you mention how the Senton is 50+MPH, but fail to mention that the Senton is 3S, whereas the Slash is 2S only. On the other hand, the Senton Mega is about as fast as the BL-2S stuff, and, in terms of speed, is actually a bit faster than most of its comparable competition, such as the Arrma Mega line, and the Associated and HPI brushed vehicles. As for making the BL-2S stuff a bit faster, you can do that with a pinion change, but you still wont get 3S speeds, which is what it sounded like you were expecting. What you do however get with the BL-2S trucks is a truck with decent speed, and all the upgrades that most do to the Traxxas 1/10TH scale line (Bandit, Rustler, Stampede, Slash), without the added expense of buying and installing the HD kit, so, overall, for a truck in that price range, you actually get a truck that isnt bad at all. Now, before anyone says it, i am in no way a Traxxas fan boy, since i own pretty much every lower priced 1/10TH scale SCT made, and, i have way more HPI, AE and Arrma stuff than i do Traxxas. The only two Traxxas i currently own are a Drag Slash, and a 2WD BL-2S Slash. I have 4 different HPI Jumpshot SC's (2 V2 and 2 FLUX), 3 AE Pro4's, (one brushed, 2 brushless), 4 AE Pro2's (so far all are still the stock brushed Reedy setups they came with), 2 Maverick Quanam Flux, an original Arrma Fury, 2 Arrma Senton 4X2 Boost's (both converted to 4X4), and the new Arrma Fury, but, next on my list is the BL-2S 4X4 Slash. I prefer to buy the cheaper versions, and eventually upgrade them myself, typically with HW stuff, especially in the case of the Arrma stock electronics, since, in my opinion, they are garbage, so why spend the extra for them?
