Cracking sound could be an injector? I cleaned it out because it was running rough and had high emissions. Always worth doing as the egr causes severe carbon build up.

@@Street_Fitter it could be but I don't have a clue. All I can say is that comes from the side of the belt. It is very much related to the quality of the fuel ( expensive fuel makes the rattle sound less) and at certain speed on the road or rpm will reduce it a lot.

I think it could be the pump over time is no longer strong enough but you can lubricate the joints with grease and it will definitely help.

@@eddyn7318 check the chip is still in the key fob or you would have to program the ECU to disable the immobiliser or replace the ecu with chip and reader

@@ImmortalViking1 You don't need to drain all the coolant, just whatever comes out when you remove the hoses going into the oil cooler.

Just make sure you don't fit a cheap one. I did originally and it ended up leaking oil through the casing. In the end I ordered a Pierburg one from autodoc for around £50. Been fine ever since.

@@PhonoDirect I don't know if there is a correct standard procedure as it was hard to find any information. I think Vauxhall/Opel used to change the whole unit if there was a fault.

Be easier finding a needle in a haystack! These are extremely rare. Best bet is to have a saved search on ebay and hope one comes up.

It's at the back of the engine near the dpf. Just follow the cable down.

Check the linkage, especially where it connects to the gearbox in case it has come loose.

B4 will be fine mate it's a non dpf older diesel engine

@@Street_Fitter Okay, thank you very much. I was not sure if the CDTI needs the C class Oil because of the Euro 4 emissions class. I did know that the DTI dose not need it. And the liqui moly Oil finder dose give the c class oil also as an option with the CDTI, but not with the DTI. Best regards Norbert

@@commander_fire I will put dexos 2 5w30 in this. cheap and decent quality oil. will be fine for the car.

It's just the exhaust from the webasto auxiliary heater. Totally fine.

Ha yeh defo mate best way to do it 😁 I actually have a couple of bleed kits but doing it this way is much quicker and saves a ton of hassle!
