In nyc we have these same social rules ...quiet talking, take ur trash, n dont take elderly seats, no pda. N wait ur turn. Right keep ur hands to urself
I am from France and most of these things are just pure logic and also apply here as well, considered rude or inappropriate :) except for the typical Korean things like receiving or giving with both hands and taking off shoes these are good tips to know in advance :)

I have been to KOREA three times - Seoul & Daegu & Busan - I always try my best to be polite to the locals and they appreciate it.
Being polite is seen highly in Korea for sure! You trying to understand our culture might have been appreciated here :)

Small talk is frowned upon in Korea. I'm curious about the reason behind that. I'm not a fan of small talk, but it's expected in my country.
@@Mudskipper9876 Can't bee 100% sure but in my experience, I guess it's because in Korea you need to know that person before you can have those conversations, you need to feel comfortable to do so.

What I am afraid about touching is when it comes to someone else's child. Like for example, the child bumped to me, and she bumped her butt on the ground for example and I had to help her. I am afraid sometimes to help the child to get up but, in my country, it was a common thing to help, however, here as well in my country, there are parents who prefer to let their child get up on their own and not wanting their child to be touched by strangers, like me, even I just want to help their child and I have cousins as well with a child who doesn't like their child being touched by strangers as well. So, I am somewhat worried that it also applies to Koreans, as it is my nature, and I do it with the sense of reflexes or sense of mother energy.
@@pcheolin I understand your concerns, I think touching a child's face or body just because they're cute is seen as rude, not a act of kindness gesture. You are right, it does depend on the person or parents, but the intention of the act really makes the reactions different. Thanks for your comment! It made me think about it too.
@harusdiaries I am not yet a mother of my own but I do understand how they feel. So, I am really adjusting myself whenever I can as I can't expect everyone to be more open about it. Some can be sensitive and it's reasonable and some are too open. But, to me I have younger niece and nephews and it makes me more alert when I'm going out with them. It is because, I can be somewhat sensitive too, when others touch their faces or body just because they're cute and with pedophile cases rising up to my country. It makes me very sensitive from time to time.
one last thing don't use google maps, use kakao maps.
Did I just forget the most important one 😭 kakao map is wayyy better than google maps in Korea especially
