This scene encapsulates my thoughts on this game. Du Paul literally pouring his soul into this performance in an amazing multifaceted twist whilst goofy af voice direction in the background of Noctis groaning absolutely blasting over Ardyns amazing monologue couple with the music jus blaring out loud needlessly. A game with amazing ideas bogged down tremendously by silly directing and game design

That game was shit

The game may have its problems, but damn did it have a fantastic villain. This scene is so perfectly done, from his expressions as he tells his tale, to the quiet moment as he reveals his true identity. And seeing his true face sent chills down my spine first time around. Too bad the music, as awesome and otherwise fitting as it is, drowns out his voice.

It makes me so upset because this scene proves to me they at least had ideas of what we see of Ardyn's past in his DLC here but they just don't elaborate on them. Dude is probably the best villain in the series when you have all the pieces but XV just ended up being an unfortunate rushed product at launch

I love it when Ardyn is in his Daemon form, he has a level of class that really defies the normal idea of a Daemon, it's fun to see him interact with Noctis' team so normally while in that form.

Ardyn is one of the more complex Villains Final Fantasy has produced, while also being the simplest in execution. No speeches of despair, Lovecraftian 6ft forms required, just a man seeking vengeance for being screwed out of paradise, spreading the plague he once cured to bring the rest of the world down to hell with him.

Noctis’ gasping needs to be lowered. If you didn’t have the subtitles on you’d have no idea wtf was going on. I really hope this was fixed in the updates.
