The more i watch this the more freaked out i get. it reminds me of a child. it tries to put the syrup bottle in the cup even tho its told to put both on the shelf. that means it remembers putting stuff in a cup from a previous lesson.

Domo could win a robot pageant. If it could cook 90% of my meals for me ... cooking a meal ain't that hard. He can already shelve objects. Now he just needs to learn unscrewing caps, chopping cabbage, buttering a sandwich. Most importantly - put dishes into the dishwasher, and take them out and stack them, unless the dish isn't clean after the dishwasher finished with it - then put it in a designated area. This means he must also learn to wash his hands. What if he tries to shelve YOU!?

@bonzonobeans Well, really old comment, but I feel the need to respond. If you're just going to define a "robot" as being anything with any electromechanical parts and some computer, then you've essentially defined robot to be such a broad word as to be meaningless. We already have a word for everything you've just described: electronics. To call them robots really kind of waters down the word robot.

This is fantastic stuff...creepy and a little eerie, but fantastic stuff. To watch this robot look at the human before it starts a task...look a human in the eyes, no less...is somehow very striking. I know the Domo isn't "thinking," per se, but the impression is of a small child not sure of what it's doing trying to figure out the task at hand. Amazing stuff. Fantastic.
