door actuator replacement on 2005 lexus es330
มุมมอง 3.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
in this video I report on the steps I take to replace the actuator. I did not have a good camera set up to record the process.hence the status reports. this should give you a general idea. for the most part it is fairly straightforward. the issue was getting the actuator out of the door. this was a hassle. I try to explain this problem in the video. hope it helps someone down the road.

I took it to a mechanic here in DC. I don't have all the tools nor the time. It cost me about $450

@@carissues good to know. Meinike out here in Central Massachusetts, diagnosed and estimated the repair for about $900 because they said they need to remove the Fuel Pump. I spoke to a normal shop and the mechanic said it's not worth it because the car is too rusted underneath 😩😒😕😕😕

when I look at the price, I look at the total cost of owning the car as well. with rust it may be understandable. i’m not in a position to purchase a new car. so I keep investing in fixes under $1000. until the car dies. or I can purchase a new car.

what does not make sense is that it works fine after the car warms up. does this mean if reconnects after the car warms up?

When it runs out of gas ya gonna blame Scottie? An oxygen sencor is nothing and any idiot knows oxygen sencors go bad in all cars, Scottie just explains how well built they are built compared to other brands he never said this car will have no problems , you shouldn't have go mechanic change oxygen sencor I know girls that changed those ,,your a baby oxygen sencors are part routine maintenance people like you are so dumb to think a car will never have a sencor go bad it's prob because you put a fuel treatment in and high test gas when you bought it.

About one month later. This has eliminated most of the hospital odor. But from time to time. The hospital smell does come back.
