Great content. Thanks for sharing! Which tools (such as Miro, Confluence, or others) do you plan to use for implementing and documenting the PDCA cycle? Additionally, how will you utilize them? I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks!

Hi @bricepaulin8110! Great question-thanks for your comment! I tend to be tool-agnostic and focus on selecting the right tool for the job based on the desired outcome of each PDCA phase. Most important is that the tool enables the activity, rather than forcing the activity to fit within the tool’s limitations. For Planning & Doing, Jira is a popular tool. However, it’s important to note that Jira is a platform, not a ready-made solution. It can be highly customized to fit your specific needs, which requires investment, especially in expert configuration. If you're managing a large organization, I strongly recommend bringing in a Jira Architect to ensure optimal performance as you scale. For Check & Act, tools like Miro and Mural are excellent for real-time collaboration. They’re mature, well-supported, and flexible, making them great choices for these phases. How are you considering using Confluence to support the PDCA? In my experience, it’s perfect for documenting and sharing information such as metrics, working agreements, and progress. When integrated with Jira, it can provide real-time, self-updating documentation, which helps keep everyone aligned. Hope that helps! Feel free to ask if you have more questions about this or any other topic. Happy holidays!

Found the comment section to! As people have pretty much always been a cog in the industrial wheel, and "the man" prefers it that way, how do you expect agile AI to be able to change that successfully? Very thought provoking! Looking forward to the next one. Thanks!

@GregoryPrzybyl-j8f - It is precisely by going to the root-cause behind that view, as you suggest. The current view has been to sell Leadership "Agile" as a toolkit for the "cog in the industrial wheel" to use, and that's a fundamentally flawed view. Instead, we need to educate Leadership that "Agile" is a shift in mindset that Leadership itself - the entire company at all levels - must undergo. And, that shift in mindset puts people - customers and employees - at the center of the equation. That people-centric view comes from Agile. The introduction of AI into the workplace without Agile's influence, in my view, will tip the scales in favor of a mechanistic, command-and-control view of companies. Instead, Agile balances the equation, creating the opportunity for both technology and humans to take a step forward. Do you have any thoughts on how we can help Leadership to understand this important distinction?

Programmers in my AI startup already use AI to write code and also the most obvious task of writing documentation for the code for lots of them done with AI. Beyond that, it is really very hard to envision how to use AI because as of now you do not know what AI do not know. And because you obviously asking the question because you also do not know it creates a problem with unknown unknowns which is very dangerous in creating production ready robust products. Another generic way to use AI and ultimate goal ( in my mind) will be if we are able to create human language interface to communicate with LLM's and AI will do Excel spreadsheets calculations, coding/evaluating/testing/documenting and releasing software and also manufacturing goods.

@marinasalganik2417 - Great comment about not knowing what AI does not know. And, this is one of the many risks of using AI at this moment. As I mentioned during the chat, as an SME (subject matter expert) I am able to identify the inconsistencies and gaps in AIs knowledge. And, that's precisely the point. We need humans to remain experts to help move AI forward - that will raise human consciousness to new levels. What would be dangerous is to rely solely on AI to do all the thinking - that will lower human consciousness! So, this is a really key point, where we want AI to take over the simple layer, which it is particularly well qualified to take it on. And, we leave the really meaty, juicy thinking and puzzle-solving to humans who can extrapolate beyond the simple and complicated scenarios. Remember what I mentioned about me doing the coding QA - I can anticipate scenarios that the AI cannot (at this time), so I add significant value to the development process even if I don't write a single line of code. There is definitely a place for humans in the AI workplace - as long as we properly position humans to fill those roles. Agile offers a great blueprint to do this. For the second part of your comment, do you mean doing speech recognition, so that we can have a more human-like, natural interface with AIs?
