Cow can digest cellulose of grass and turn it into milk (I am not digress by dragging sensitive controversial topic of beef into it, rather cow milk as animal sourced high protein nutritious diet( but can human digest cellulose of the grass? Also livestocks are fed large quantities of plant based food pound for pound low on certain essential amino acids which with quantity compensates for low percebtages of those esential amino acids providing nutrition for livestock but we humans can not consume that much plant based food to fulfil our necessity of those amino acids as that will far excceed our calorific needs with a very high carbohydrate based diet. For example a bowl of rice and lentils will provide all essential amino acids compensating for absence of certain amino acids in either of rice and lentils separately but not in quantities needed for some of those amino acids. So if milk, cheese, paneer or even mushrooms and eggs are okay by your religious belief system and ethical value, by all means you should consume them and those into athletics and sports can consume Whey lrotein based drinks (preoared forom milk for speedy repair to muscle tissues. Those who eat chicken, fish and goat meat may continue if they wish to but moderation is needed with red meat like goat meat because of possibility of heath hazards it may cause, not because of any guilt tripping and virtue signalling. We have to remember that livelihood of large number of people hinges on the farming industry catering to meat consumption choice of the society and agriculture through inherent process and decomposition of wastage and stubble itself emits greenhouse gases like methane. Pure vegan food (that excludes even dairy milk can not on its own provide optimum nutrition in quantities humans can physucally affird to consune so in order to make vegan food optimumly nutritious, vegan food has to be fortified with higher concentration of those amino acids and such processing would make vegan food exceedingly expensive that common masses can not adford, financially speaking.
