I don't get it. Why would it affect the alternator? I thought the point was always to protect the engine as the oil is not active enough. Alternator would just recharge the battery, Infact idle rpms are generally lower so if you drive alternator maybe able to recharge battery faster if needed. But I don't see any cause for alarm. Seems more like a battery problem with civic or short drive rather than alternator

Sorry, but what? I don't know which Tesla Model 3 Long Range you have, but even if it has the 75 kWh battery of which 69 kWh are available, that's impossible / a very rare case. I give you the benefit of the doubt that have a few percent degradation and only 65 kWh available. A Model 3 consumes only 1-2 kWh / hour for heating. A range of 200 km would mean a consumption of 32 kWh/100 km. A range of 150 km would mean a consumption of 43 kWh/100 km. That's impossible unless you are driving on German Autobahns with a speed "like you stole the car", which means 160-180 km/h. Or make very short commutes of merely a few kilometers (<10 km) where the battery has to heat the cabin each time while NOT being plugged in. None of these show a realistic range of the car you are talking about.

​@@richardpetek712 I have a 2020 Tesla Model 3 Long Range. I have owned this car for about 2 years. Also this car has ridiculous quality issues. I have ~70 kWh available battery now. In winter, in city driving, I can only get 100-150 km per charge when the car is cold each time (home -> work -> home). If I drive without stopping, I can get around 240-270 km (In winter). Also, I can't drive at speeds over 120 km/h because the range decreases ridiculously. Tell your stories to someone else. Such consumption is only possible if you drive in ideal conditions. In real conditions, consumption is much worse.

@@idea5420I liked the intonation very much. But when I then hear mm pronouced as written, my reaction is 'lazy programmer' as it is easy circumvented by feeding 'millimeter'. Gues the real chalange is having the AI recognize the abreviation an have conseptual awarenes to replace it with the full pronunciation.
