In his Confessions St. Augustine recalls standing at a window overlooking a garden in Rome and speaking with his mother St. Monica until they are drawn from God’s “works” to contemplating eternal “Wisdom”. In Austen’s novel Mans...

Mr. George Weigel discusses this "Catholic moment" as one of the five epic periods of transition in Church history a time in which the Church is being called to reclaim its originating charism as a communion of disciples in mission, living for the conversion and sanctification of the world; a time in which every Catholic is being called to live out his or her baptismal responsibility to be a mi...

Popular culture leaves us with many images of what success might look like, from the killer soldier robots in The Terminator, to the oppressed robots of Blade Runner, to the special agents in The M...

Thought-provoking stations of the cross are so needed in our hectic everyday life. Thank you.
Holy Moly Media, what a great job! Great production, great sound and mixing, great writing...and a surpassing message to all young persons. A searching, penetrating, persuasively profound treatment of the Gospels. Let's talk, folks.
My heart thanks all of you that participated in bringing me on this journey with me. Blessings in Christ Jesus Our Lord and Saviour

Robert Spitzer's lectures and explanations are always a pleasure to hear. Of the 4 theories, does Transcendent Intelligence (fine tuning) still have the lead, or has something happened that has changed that?
Too bad the 'Third Inkling' Charles Williams is so little known and appreciated...
About modern catholic writings, I think Gabaldón (Outlander) is a good example
Great!
Yet "Anthropic Principles" is never mentioned as far as.I see...
Thank you for sharing this.
Delighted to find this Fr.Eric. I want to start watching something like this with my elderly friends who are 'into' art. It is just what I have been looking for. Thanks a million!
Merry Christmas Father Turrone and thank you for all you do for the community and each member!! wishing you strength, wisdom, and steady resolve. May we open the churches soon and bring people back to essential Holy Communion
Samuel Gregg's statement that Western civilization began with the Hebrew prophets is moronic. First of all, "the prophets," were themselves NOT western. They only became absorbed into the West due to Christianity. Second, the West began with Homer, Hesiod... the Greeks. Christianity found a way to build it's theology thanks to the Logos of Heraclitus via the Apostle John and St. Augustine, who combined classical learning (Cicero, Virgil) with faith (Ambrose, Jerome). A radical Jewish sect became Universal precisely because of the Greco-Roman world. Also, the pagan influences never really left. Example, Monotheistic visual art is Western, not Middle Eastern. Imagine telling the Doctors of the Church this nonsense. Gregory, Ambrose, Augustine, Aquinas, all were steeped in the Greco-Roman classics. Even, Jerome, the most learned of the Hebrew scriptures would have laughed at this. What a dreadful lecture by a shill. I hope our great Roman Catholic Church picks up it's game again.
Yeah, virtues are replaced by common sense, aren't they?
Thank you, Father. I bought the app and the book.
Awesome Fr Peter. Thank you so very much
What an amazing article. Thank you Fr. Cris. It is amazing how we will always arrive to the same answer if we sincerely seek the truth.
