Live Q&A with Sergei Nakariakov | April 18th 2020
I am looking forward to a live Q&A on my TH-cam channel this Saturday. First, I will answer some questions that I receive quite frequently on social media and then you can ask me through the comments section and I will do my best to answer.
Sergei🙏
Q: Which is harder, playing in an orchestra or being a Soloist ? A: The person to ask is Estaban Batallon, Principal of the CSO... who does BOTH. But from my observation, I would say Soloist. Because you have to ALWAYS be at the top of your game and the buck stops with you... You're the one who is OUT IN FRONT.
Sergei's understanding and competence on the Trumpet is unparalleled. He is ONE OF A KIND in all ways... with great humility and willingness to help others.

Swrgei, please keep uploading new music, you are an inspiration for so many people around the world, GBU maesteo
Hello😊
Sorry to be personal, I so like what you doing, bringing trumpet playing to that level, and anything else...it is essence of life!
Where to buy the score?
That was super…. Thanks 👍
I love you,you are the Number one of the Trumpeter in this world not one can over you!❤❤❤❤❤
Sergei ...you are the best of the best, of the best and so on. There are many super trumpettist in the world and I dont have to mention them, but I am really sorry that I (we) have never seen and hear you on a cornet. I am imagining how you will sound on a cornet.
The instrument chosen by the composer is part of the work of art. A composer doesnt write for „any“ instrument. I dont need to hear Sibelius Violin concerto played by an orchestra of accordeons.
Its so great to have a view into your thoughts. Thank you for sharing with us. It's so clear that music comes first in your mind and everything else simply serves this purpose.
Amazing amount of essential information. Thank you Sir for sharing your thoughts with us. They showed me another view and it's extremely refreshing.
Awesome presentation! Greetings from Phoenix, Arizona.
What's up with that peculiar flugelhorn
how do you feel about keep up ones health to play well?
how I loved to sinf this aria the trumpet is a very good intuition thinking about the words of the aria! bravissimo! and what colors! what opening! what emotion!
Sublime! You were great with Martha Argerich last night at the Teatro Colón Concert! Congratulations!👏👏👏👏👏I look forward to next July 27 to enjoy your talent!🎼🎹🎺🎵🎶❤
Lovely comments about the Courtois flugelhorn, I love those, and I met the son of Jaques Gaudet once, at Amboise, playing trombone in a Brass Band from Belgium at a contest there...
That instrument sounds exactly like a French horn.
You have the best Flugelhorn Tone by far! Your JS Bach Air always brings me to tears!!!!
I just discovered your playing. You are amazing. Have you done Bach?
So beautiful ❤❤❤ Jade ~
Cool guy..
You are a grand motivation for me, thx for all 🫶🏻
Thank you ! More than a pleasure! Stay healthy !
You seem to play everything from memory? You're like the Paganini on trumpet.

Viel spaß noch in musik
I was injured in college playing in too many bands with little rest. My embouchure changed and adapted and now at 30 years old I'm able to play like I did again, I'm so happy. And it's in large part to this man Sergei, whom I saw a video of diddling in his fire-heated cabin, tinkering with his horns. The sheer effortlessness of his technique (and the likes of Allen Vizutti) are what showed me that it can be done the right way. Thank you Sergei for your dedication to the craft that inspired me to find my happiness again
Bravo!
Amazing circular breathing!
「NO WAR」「NO NUKES」「НЕТ ВОЙНЕ」I am one of your Japanese fans.
Refreshing to hear that you sometimes use Clarke's 2nd in your warmups like so many do. It works. And yeah, the Jerry Hey horns are absolute masters at what they do, fantastic listening.
Two year late seeing this, but will look for new ones. I have no questions but want to tell you how much I appreciate your music. I discovered you with a cd I bought for my brother, now gone. He played trumpet, while I played saxophone during out youth> I am an 88 year old widow and the sweetness of your Carnival of Venice literally brought tears to my eyes. When I heard it, I immediately bought it and sent it to my brother. I have since bought a copy for myself. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your music. It is much appreciated, especially to this old lady. My picture for this sight is actually a young Russian boy I taught English to in Beijing. We were in front of the Russian restaurant there. Coincidence truly.
Looks like Gary Oldman and really plays a treat.
I always thought he was somewhere between Oldman and David Thewlis in facial structure. But yes, truly one of the most incredible living brass players.
