Thanks for putting this back up. It was originally written to celebrate the then-upcoming Centennial of Powered Flight celebration, but it was quickly rewritten.

Um, What is SCARY about any of these? I remember ALL of them and they are merely nostalgic. 🤷‍♂️

They were about as frightening as a basket filled with kittens.

The Paramount one scared the s@@@ out of me when I was a child with its tune wtf was that! Ahh the 70s 🤦🏻‍♂️

Where is the "ВИД" (VID) Logo? These Logos are not so scary at all (only the V of Doom a bit but also not so scary).

I think my mom saw the ITC logo. My mom is a Muppets fan and she watched the show a lot as a kid so she would definitely see this scary logo. I’m gonna ask my mom when she gets back from work. I think Desilu is NOT a scary logo. I get it, the fanfare to you is scary and loud, but I hear the fanfare on Paramount logos. And the closet logo from 1972, I was little when my parents watched MeTV 2 and I saw the logo with the blue mountain fanfare. NOT NOT THE ACTUAL BLUE MOUNTAIN, the fanfare was in the closet logo. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a red background with a blue rectangle showing the company’s name on the left, and the mountain logo on the right. After 1 second of the logo’s opening, it zooms in to the mountain logo on the right and then fades out. there are 2 fanfares in the logo you can find. The first original one has an unsettling tweet at the end and the other one sounds kinda heroic (the fanfare in the ident of Paramount television service) I saw the heroic one and it scared me wow.

She was clearly sick here because Patti soars effortlessly but her lower register was so rich and beautiful she didn't even have to attempt to go up. Beautiful & sincere ❤❤

This Is A Screen Gems Production Because I was then a little boy when that logo aired right after the Flintstones cartoon which scared me over 40 years ago .

I never thought these were scary at all. A lot better than today's boring & lame logos.

I’ll give you the Viacom and THAT particular paramount, but how is the super cute and peppy Desilu logo on here? 😅

These aren't scary. I was a child but the Alted Hitchcock logo and having the master of fright waddle on and off in cartoon fashion got me as a kid.

Who scares by a logo?

The hammer logo is the only creepy one, most of these logos are actually good.

I feel some nostalgia along with the fact that most of these probably scared children because of the sheer volume of the music being played over them.

I always thought the Screen Gems dancing sticks logo was scary, imagine yourself in a dark room, and the sticks and sparks coming at you.
