That big direct drive motor looks weird, but cool compared to all the other setups I have seen. Had no idea anyone forked betaflight into a heli specific branch. It does look super tight when you had it in "angle" mode or whatever you were doing at first. Betaflight 4.5 in angle mode feels the same. I can't even fly in that mode anymore, I have to go straight to acro. This makes me want to get back into helis.

We fly a version of this by millennial r/c and love it. Millennial r/c's version is a thicker symmetrical wing without dihedral. Love it.

Love the old and new coming together, how was heat of engine on printed mount, u could use some insulator material between motor and plastic, and bolts instead of screws. !! Nice man. That's one thing that would be nice is longer flight times instead of batteries.

My Larva X has been in pieces for months and I keep looking at it wanting to get it flying again. I’ve switched to ELRS and it’s still got an old XM+ receiver on it. I may have to get an ep2 and put it back in to service. It is a fun little quad. Hope you get the same experience I did with it. I had a blast.

Ahh, the Larva X, my old friend. That’s a great quad to learn on. I’ve still got mine after almost a year, it needs ELRS but it’s still working. Keep it up bud, great work!

A long way up.

At some point, likely about half way through these tuning flights, the pressure line came off the exhaust which explains it suddenly leaning out and running way faster. Remedied it for later flights that day and it was perfect.
