The plot has started growing and planting out has begun! Hopefully we’re in for a good growing season ahead. Still lots of empty beds but over the next few weeks those spaces will be filled 💚

    Hi Steph. This will be my first year with a small allotment. I’m also keen on “no dig” So your new channel is well timed and I’m looking forward to following your journey through the year and hope to pick up tips and ideas along the way. First question- is there a particular reason you have gone for so many raised beds?

      @@adriannind2506 hey! Oh how exciting 😍 So my plot is very uneven. When we took it on there was already the 2 long beds either side and then a huge bed in the middle. We divided the middle bed to make smaller more manageable beds when we added the paths etc. I like beds as I like the definition between growing spaces. If I had a flat area when I started perhaps I wouldn’t have made beds as such but for the space we have now it works well ☺️

    This was a nice walkthrough! I'm planting kohlrabi for the first time and was going to direct-sow them, but maybe I should start a few inside.

      @stephs_allotment 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah thank you so much 🥰 annoyingly the quality of the video doesn’t seem very good, not sure how to sort that 🤔 Anyway, I like to start almost all of my seedlings it pots/trays just because I lose so many if I direct sow. This way I can grow them on to strong plants before planting out 💚

      @@stephs_allotment I had sent you a DM actually, but I think it just needs time for the full-res video to fully upload. When I upload mine it does a low res version for about a half hour and then fixes itself. And that makes sense. I do like to start my lettuces indoors for that reason. Might try it with the kohrabi and beets as well! Thanks for the info!
