Getting the LED light with a tripod was a game changer. Without it, the painting under the dim, warm lighting of the event center would be so miserable. Especially seeing blue of this painting would have been hard.

I did this painting demo at the 17th Annual Artist Showcase & Auction hosted by Spokane Valley Art Council.

My painting for the Quick Finish Demo is done. It's time to frame it and get ready to sell at the live auction that's starting shortly... I feel like a performing artist, connective with my audience while creating a visual art. I love my 'hybrid gig'!

This painting is for the second Quick Finish Demo at the 17th Annual Artist Showcase Art Auction in Spokane, WA, last weekend. I titled this piece in a white dress "Sophie in Bronze" (oil on linen panel, 12x16") as a tribute to Sophie the chicken who passed away the day before this event.

My chicken named Jack my chicken named bubbles my chicken named Tanner they all died one of them got eaten by a snake another one I don't know and my poor bubbles broke her by my sister's hen name to Christian and then he died in summer because it was too hot which is the same way my bunny died in front of me which what is going to be the first day of school

I didn't cry til I saw your wonderful paintings💔🐣🐔 I've had two incredible pet hens. Baba Yaga & Lucille. Sophie is in her new life, complete with your love. 🫂

This is a part of what I teach during the Oil Painting Challenge. I just taught a color mixing lesson using just 3 primary colors to create the 'Custom Black' and different shades of grays, demonstrating a mini still life painting.

This is so beautiful! I've seen so many chicken care videos that are awful and wrong. Finding this is so wonderful! You're doing it the way it should be. Husbandry is so important! I love your coop,too. I'm a bit jealous! The curtains are adorable! Maybe I will give mine curtains,too. And the feeder is great. ❤

What a great way to help keep critters out of the coop! I had chickens for 20 yrs, but this last rural locale is LOADED with wild animals looking for a meal. They are such calm and loving pets/ family members. 🥳🐓
