Came here hoping to learn how to install a wrap-around. You kinda just told us what they're for.. would love to see a video of how to actually install: spacing, overhang, etc

Maybe the roof was done by others, but that is a drip edge not an apron that should be used at the gutter. Downspouts number and sizes can be calculated for your location based on the roof size.

I'm sticking with Tom and don't care for the criticisms. But you got one thing right... the bracket hole. I always worry about being too low so I add sealant before I thread it through. About ice, remember it's a regional thing. Some areas, especially NE, do have more serious ice issues. Not an issue in SE, SW

What is main reason for the de-coiler? Are you rolling off smaller coils for your guys? Or do you sell off small amounts to homeowners or other contractors?

I wish people would just give numbers as examples what do I charge to do an outside mind or what do I charge to do an inside miter what do I charge for end caps?

Z flashing with a sharp edge too far extended our can slice hands of gutter cleaners not wearing gloves. I get mine with a fold back edge that also stiffen the sheet metal. On facia gutters sometimes the flashing and gutter hangers make install difficult. Also bring out flashing and drip edge too far can mean wasps try and set up home in the gap.You can’t win. And worse, the lack of attention to detail by some roofers when it comes to all these issues can be really appalling.

The one thing I was taught years ago when I learned roofing was to have the shingles hang over the drip edge about a half inch or so, then in the summer the shingle will sag enough so the water doesn't do the capillary action as said at the beginning of the demonstration.

That’s an attention to detail class.

Like you said and an additional observation Josh, I would have also installed the down-spout flange under the gutter to avoid a lip above and potential obstruction to water flow. Screwing upward with color matching screws blend nicely as well. But what do I know, I'm an electrician, cheers.

I use the plastic adjustable V wedges I had gotten at Lowe's they are clearancing them out now but they work great the back of the metal bracket that goes against the fascia you just slip the wedges in the metal bracket line up the holes you can adjust the little triangular block to give gutters the correct level of gutters against the fascia boards, I seen other types out there though they are made of thin tin that can bend in time from strong winds, the ones I have are attached to back of gutter brackets so you don't have to screw thrm on in other places very nice jow they work.

Your channel has been a treasure trove of information as I'm tackling my first gutter job on our garage! What tool belt system do you have / recommend? Biggest thing I've been trying to find is one to hang my drills on and not use the dump pouches. Thanks!

Problem is there is no watertight roofing to on top of the drip edge, water will find it's way under the roofing, as for the gutters themselves should been tucked under the drip edge completely so water makes no contact with wood, the shingles on that home does not look like it comes out far enough, at minimal should be nothing less then one inch to one quarter inch to resolve most these issues.

You should go through how much you charge a foot per profile. I’d be curious what different regions are charging

Hey, I didn't see anybody install a gutter on a flat roof & brick building on TH-cam. Can you tell me how to do it? Start with a gutter board. Should I use 1x8" or 2x8"? Which anchors to use & countersink the anchor or not? How to secure & install the gutter board? Then install the gutter.

Actually in other shows Tom says don't put thedrip edge against the facia board. Leave about a 1/4 inch so the water doesn't siphon back and go behind the gutter.

A proper shingle overhang is free to install indicating yet ANOTHER roofer who doesn't have a clue.

A proper gutter install starts with a good roof design. A hip roof is by far the best, valleys, gables, and gutters don't work and focus all the water into one area making them overflow.
