I agree, but the staff in charge for this movie are the same people who did kizuna, I hated tri but liked kizuna, I only have some expectations because of that tri and the adventure reboot were so trash imo.

I'm not gonna lie, I burned out subbing seekers when they were uploading episodes daily, because of that I never catched up. Now there's like +5 hours of novel to sub and that's too much for me. I'm sorry. You can still read Onkeikun's fixed translation while playing the audio version in the background tho.

What are those fanfics specifically? Because I always felt bitter about how these Drama CDs are not the writing direction I wanted for a hypothetical Digimon Tamers sequel. SPECIALLY after finding out how Konaka is kind of an insane conspiracy theorist.

hopefully after the upcoming digimon 02 movie. Tamers is like the next most popualar thing if we don't take in consideration the Adventure universe.

Konaka, the main writer kind of ruined it, He got obsessed with anti-covid conspiracy theorists, 9/11 conspiracies, etc, and decided that he wanted the following season to be against the terrible forces of cancellation, after receiving bad criticism about it he said he was going to stop working on another season...true story, look for it. At this point maybe is better that we all Digimon Tamers fans write our own personal sequel fanfiction...

That’s odd. Ryo comes out in season 3 and has cyberdramon as his partner and his in training is hopmon. I’ll have to look into it.

@@royalsfan4784 Ryo is originally from Adventure continuity. Which is odd, since Digimon has generally been semi-realistic with such things such time travel and multiverse travel being not inputted in the plot. At least before Fusion. Anyway, Ryo had many temporary partners, such as Agumon and Veemon but his definitive his Millenniummon (who later fused with Cyberdramon, so why the latter is his partner in Tamers).

@@youngfox2186 I know tag tamers haven't been de-canonized, but they really are non-sensical in the Adventure continuity. Even the glimpses we do get of Ryo in the 02 and Our War Game don't line up with what happens in the games. If veemon was his partner in the Adventure continuity, why doesn't wormmon recognize him in 02? You'd really think he'd at least mention it, or Ken for that matter, even if his memories are hazy. I personally consider them in a parallel Adventure continuity rather than the main one.

not being as near as popular as the adventure brand in japan, just comparing sales, even 02 sold way more blu rays than tamers, toei probably don't see tamers as something being profitable.

@@scharger100 This is a CD-Drama, yeah but the one that was controversial with some people was a reading from last year, not this.

Because not every thing in Digimon need to be related to platonic love relationship. Hikari and Takeru simply doesn't have any romantic interest for each other, and any implications of such likely came from non-canon materials. To be very frankly, they act more like siblings than anything, which is actually a better relationship than a full-on romantic relationship. And this is part of their purity-innocent personality.

You say that and yet many people dissapointed because Sora doesnt end up with Taichi. If you ask me the one who is make sense is Sora and Taichi because they childhood friend and is more closer than Yamato to her ever be before the cave incident.

@@ducksama8448 the director of adventure and 02 (Hiroyuki kakudo) confirmed that Hikari and takeru didn't end up married Here's part of the the interview "Q3: Did Yamato and Sora get married? What about Takeru and Hikari? They got married. Those two started dating on Christmas in 02's episode 38. From there on, their love flourished until marriage. Takeru and Hikari didn't marry. Sorry."

this cd drama was written by the writer of Digimon Tamers, he proposed the idea for a tamers sequel but toei rejected it, this cd drama it's like a pilot of what that sequel could've been
