I'm old enough to remember zero cops at the dunes. You were safe from cops on the sand. The 1st time I saw cops pull up in a blown dunebuggy I had a beer in one hand and a dube in the other - shoved that beer into the sand , stepped on the joint and lit a cigarette real fast. I knew freedom was completely gone when you aren't safe from police harrasment in the middle of the sanddunes. God I miss those days!😢

Yep, everyone complains about where are the police when you need them when the bully on the beach establishes his territory in the sand and F’s it up for the people who want to enjoy a day in the sand box with family and friends. They are smart enough to establish decency before that one bully turns into the good people taking the law into their own hands and finding themselves on trial for situations that the cops should be doing. I sense some of the negative comments are coming from a jealous place because this buggy is badass. It's an effective tool that not only works well but is an opportunity to build a bridge with communities who have lost trust in us because of some of the stupid shit cops have done in the past but with God's grace we will see less and less of in the future. I am sure that the department has chosen officers who have the ability to show the human side of modern policing. Give them a chance to interact with you before you pass judgment on them.
