@@ghostmutton yeah, making more terrain is definitely a thing I'll be doing more in 2025. I'm thinking muddy craters or boggy areas.

@@BobMeister-tu1bo these are made by cutting steel sheet to size (Jasper made these). I've upgraded them since this video with some black velvet at the bottom for smooth manoeuvring (and not damaging game mats) and spray painted them black.

@@TimelessTabletopGaming I used a tripod for the dicerolls, but relied on software to stabilise the footage in post. DaVinci Resolve has great stabilisation options and combined with a decent GPU, it doesn't take too long to fix the handheld camera work in post. See if you can spot the short fragments where I forgot to fix that in post. There's two short scenes left in this unfortunately.

It works suprisingly well when upscaled by 167%. Truely the golden age of wargaming when you can print your terrain to a scale you want!

I just printed some FSD units at 6mm and some terrain also at that scale. I wish i went ahead and just did it at 10mm for compatibility!

@@trollzyntheshinymagpie1019 I would say Prussians from the Empire. (If the Colossus mechs aren't an issue). Their airships/zeppelins provide good flak barrage options, so you won't be reliant on SRS for your own protection that much)… They only have a single sub unit and it's not mandatory as all their other surface units come with torpedoes. Other noteworthy factions are Sultanate, but they have less flak barrage than Imperium. Union can do something similar to Imperium Prussians mind you, but some of their best ships are carriers, so you'll feel it more if you exclude them imo compared to Prussia. Prussians can always tackle enemy hiding carriers through their mechs or very firepower heavy zeppelins. The Union zeppelins are tougher, but hit less hard.

@@speeddemonpainting7050 Thank you for your quick reply. And thank you for your help. I was almost on the right track to the right faction for me. I thought Alliance/Italy or Sultanate. Italy has Minerva, Jupiter and Sagitta. I think Scorpio and Vulcan are better alternatives than the Jupiter. And I like Mars more than Minerva as a flagship. But I like the Repair Facilities ability, it's a shame for me that Minerva has Advanced Repair Facilities (3). Are the Italians the best at repairs? Sagitta is only 1 model in relation to the rest of the fleet, I could have handled that. And so I thought the Italian fleet might suit me. Sultanate has Suleiman & Constantinople Carriers and no submarines. I think Mihrimah and Konya are better alternatives than the Constantinople. And the flagship selection is very good in Sultanate, so I'm not forced to play Suleiman. It's not that easy to find the right fleet.^^

@trollzyntheshinymagpie1019 Italians currently only have two flagships and one is a carrier... The French definitely rely on carriers as their best choices. It's why I didn't pick alliance.

I'm asking for a friend. Which faction/sub-faction uses the least aerial units, aircraft carriers, SRS tokens and assault actions? And is fast and good at closing/long range firepower?

@trollzyntheshinymagpie1019 Russia would be a good pick and fairly easy to play. Egypt also fits that bill with their skimmers especially with support from the Order. Japan also matches, but does use exosub tokens as a replacement for other SRS.

It is so hard to do I had friends try it with the French hover ships.

@wilhelm992 of course it Is possible, easiest way would be to use electromagnets, but it Is possible with normal magnets as well, but you would need to be very precise

@@johnsellars2692 I'll mostly be focusing my personal force on the Crown until the Imperium and Alliance gets here. But I can definitely see the value in just getting a second landship box. I did not mention a price, but a model of that size with more models to spare? Not a hard call... Even if one or two units are a touch more limited in build option.

@@TopSucrettesPainting I tried weathering the tracks on a Galahad with brown powders. It made the model a lot less "readable" with the brown/beige hull. I did fix the barrels though

The primer is now curing as we speak! I should be able to get started on it this week... But I also have a bedroom to paint with a slightly larger brush! :D

@@MegaDeathToaster I used the same Khaki Drills over grey for the tanks, but stippled them with a sponge with Vallejo charred brown after and hit them with a bone white drybrush after that. The reds also got some extra shading with black wash and highlights with flat red and flat orange. But other than that, same process.
