The song is about drugs, police, and finishes up by them saying the only rules they obey are the rules of grammar in their native language. If you watch the Kneecap Movie you’ll understand what their songs are about.

Basically, from what I saw of the lyric translations, it's mostly a "Fuck the police" song, although with a bit of a more light-hearted and funny tone than, say, NWA from back in the day. One word you might notice gets said a lot is Garda (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly) which is the name for the Irish police. They also get referred to once by the old name RUC (Royal Ulster Constabulary), which had a pretty questionable record for brutality, anti-Catholic bias, and even working with Protestant paramilitary groups against Catholic and Nationalist groups. Most of the rest of the song is talking about the good time they're going to have at that seedy party with the drinks, drugs, and women at the end, and how the cops can't stop it or catch them.

Also funny you said it’s not birth it’s death, when the song has the lyrics “deathless death” referring to sex, an act of love (sometimes). I mean, if we’re really saying sex has to turn out with a baby, my man… a lot of straight people going to hell. I’m not really enjoying the reaction when you gotta denounce a whole people because you’re hurt the word amen is paired with men kissing…always gotta be sensitive as hell with y’all. I think the Director would be happy to hear your words too by the way, because pairing these visuals with the lyrics makes it so that your true colors show, and you can’t turn away because the music is that good. Hozier’s songs always pack a bunch of allegories behind a good beat. His song Cherry Wine has a nice melodic ~romantic~ tune but describes an abusive relationship, basically the concept of how a relationship like that with all them nasty words and blood is made up for by small moments of love. Obviously toxic as hell, and that’s what he’s calling out. Anyway, don’t hurt people who were kicked and stoned, cornered and tossed away for love. People need to learn to stick together and stop putting invisible lines between each other. It’s just a bunch of bullshit propagated so everyone’s divided and weak, while the propagators stay on top. Baseline dumb. Check out Nina cried power though. It’s about fighting against oppression and rising above those invisible lines. Nina of course referring to Nina Simone. I know there’s not going to be a very productive conversation here on this issue if your life hasn’t had to face that hardship before, so I only hope that you never meet anybody like that so they don’t have to be disappointed, or worse, hurt by you.
