I read the book. The 1979 animation was the best adaptation of the book, even though that was watered down to a degree compared to the book. This 2024 version had some good scenes but overall meh.

He ran into the treehouse because the vampires would have to be invited in for them to enter, that’s why he went in there. Now Barlow, that’s another story.

I need to read the book. I agree this would have been better as a mini series because it was rushed. I will say, I didn't hate it BUT i would also not rewatch it.😆

It holds its rank as the 2nd best adaptation out of 3. Good for seeing a more novel-faithful Barlow. Sutherland and Hauer's performances do the heavy lifting.

I actually found original on Blu-ray at the dang dollar store. I was elated. I have this version in a dvd 3 pack with IT and the 97 Stephen King's The Shining which I also liked.

I didn't hate this version, it had a few cool things but always prefer the original 1979 CBS Miniseries. Read the book several times.

Yeah man! This movie was so BLOODY FUN! The actress of Abigail was insanely good and the movie was so funny. I has an absolute blast with it and cannot wait to watch it again. Going to be apart of my halloween viewing for years to come for sure.

This was a really fun summer movie. I did really love it BUT the OG will always hold the top spot for me.

Nowhere the level of the Caesar trilogy but it's still great.

An overall solid ending to the Caesar trilogy and storyline of him.

This my favorite of the reboot series. The special effects are amazing. I agree Matt Reeves did a great job of shooting this movie.

This is the best Apes movie and the best of the reboot era so far. Great directing, story, action sequences, cinematography, emotional weight and a great dynamic between Caesar and Koba who sees the good and bad of humans and leads to a great fight between Koba.

It’s a solid movie that kind of ties into the original. The action shots were done very well.
