Scooters Across America Day4 Harm's Crash
Why is it everyone's dumb ass thinks that riding a 50cc scooter on a road trip to is a crazy idea What about the cyclists that have to pedal across America or around the world. 50cc is easy man.
Awesome ride guys
Chicago in 13 days on 35 miles/hr ride from San Francisco! How is that possible?🤔🙂
Bro u töhave a low height on your front wheel and is gonna always accelerate, use your rear brake to balance around the km you need stable
this is so dope take me with you
Brilliant! Even all this years later 🎉 👍
So now that's it's 10 years....let me know :)
And no helmet. Man, are you ever smart!
Heck yeah!! I'll go with you!
We had a new one in 2011, after a few minutes of running hard it would do that almost every time.
What's the Transamerica trail website is this the one that you have to pay to download the maps or do you get these for free?
Wow amazing
I do wheelies on mine all the time
THIS was an amazing adventure, the memories of which will last a lifetime. The line in the movie "Larry Crowne" with Tom Hanks where Talia states that "A MAN ON A SCOOTER CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING" rings true for you fellows. Very, very well done. An Inspiration, indeed. It speaks well, also, of the durability of the inexpensive 50 cc scooter. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
a little local knowledge. 'black bears' come in a variety of colours, black brown cinnamon and even white. if you see a brown bear with a hump on it's shoulders be very afraid because that's not a brown coloured black bear, that's a grizzly.
What happened to it!?
4 comments in 10 years. I call bullshit. Probably because this dude took what was free and began selling it AFTER making a big deal about it being free and open source. Now it's not. I guess he can delete this comment too. Kind of lame.
thank you for posting I have a auto GPS on my bike will give it a go. AP
It's funny how you come across things. My son is 10 years old and I'm starting the process of researching what is pretty much parallel to what this father and son has done. I can hear the happiness in both your voices. Have you made any trips since this? I've been in love with scooters since I was a little kid...seeing some other kids with a Yamaha Razz in the late 80's my obsession was born!
let me know if you are ready to sell

The video makes you want to ride this path too. Especially the empty streets are very fascinating for someone from Europe.
I'm sure someone has told you already, but the lower air pressure at elevation causes carbureted engines to run extra rich.
Great adventures
Mine doesnt let me bypass like to want to pop the clutch to do the wheelie or when i just full throttle it stops me from doing it is there any modes i have to change or such?
😂😂😂
Are you both still riding?
This is no help. Have the chip in my garmin zumo xt, but no arrows or lines have appeared.
Same with me
So how do i merge on and off highways going 40 mph
No free
Maybe wrapping the unit with cling film would work

Now I want to buy a Honda metropolitan .
The sound you are hearing on start up is the Bendix drive starting to fail. Usually it is attached to the starter. Sometimes some light oil (wd40 or pb blaster) will cure it, but if it is too worn out the oil will prevent it from locking and thus not starting. My recommendation is get a new starter. Aside from that, awesome trip!
Can't believe you rode a Chinese Honda 70 clone across America....... Awesome.
I actually really like Jeff's scooter.
I like your video were did you get the ride file that you started with? I am new to touring solo and looking for routes, gear, and advice.
I wanted to mentioned, I got my motorcycle endorsement just to ride a scooter, in hopes of doing this trip in the future.
Great video...thanks for that tip!
Amazing journey.
Thank you so much. Seriously, this is just what I needed. I have an old Garmin unit that I've used in the car for years but I don't need it in the car. I don't really like using my phone as a GPS because it gets hot in the sun. I never even considered that I could waterproof the unit and use it on my motorcycle so this will save me a lot of money.
Thanks for the tips. Going to try this for an upcoming tril
Too cool! I wanna hang w you cats... I have a 2006 Big Ruckus and love it!
what size engine was the BMS?
What size scooter and how was the gas situation ?
Glad when women unbox.. the camera not shaking, we can see everything, take their time etc.
I am 77 been ridding from 14 years old, never owned a car. Vietnam vet have ridden 1000 CC bikes Harly's to Moto Guzzies and 30 others now ride a Kymco Like 200i and 2012 and have never looked back on those heavy bikes. These can go anywhere and mine has been super reliable and is very fun to ride. Finally in 2012 getting a wind shield for it. Kingman AZ PLan on ridding many more years. At 77 just renewed my tags for 5 more years. Beer and scooters keep me young. Of course I live in a 55 plus park and everyone thinks I am nuts, but what the hell I am having fun. A men.
Screwed that up I meant 2021, my how time flys, will get the wind shield in a few days from E-Bay 6/20/2021, someone get my another beer. Sometimes I have just to much fun.
We have a bintelli Sprint that's a 50 cc between myself and my wife we push past 400 pounds its Chinese made and we rode it yesterday around trip of 50 miles with no issues pleas don't sell Chinese scooters short
What brand is your scooters
Remember reading a book years ago, about two scooter riders doing a cross country trip from NY to california back in 1964.., those little engines must get fairly heated..
