Oregon State Penitentiary Diversion Program
It would seem that getting People to on board to the ODOC faster would help. I am starting to get fed up with the the employees taking poles. Money would fix a lot of the problems. The people at Dome land dont wish to talk about that. Its the main driver why we cant keep fully staffed. but what do I know I have only worked at the ODOC for 20 years.
3:50ish into the video, an AIC is being referred to as "it" I thought regardless of being an AIC, they were still humans. Why was the AIC referred to as "it"? @Oregon doc
The first thing that struck me was the lack of "consequences" for staff who violated policies. I know this is a crazy idea, but when "consequences" are so important to apply to the Adult in Custody population, equal attention should be given to staff who violate rules and policies. Who, in an 'inside the security area', would think it would be a good idea to keep spare sets of clothes in their office? Not to mention any other implements that could be used in escape attempts? While kudos to the wonderful staff are appreciated, it might be worth mentioning that this situation could have easily been prevented had Staff followed policies. You can't fix what you don't acknowledge, as offenders are often told. How easily are adults in custody sent to segregation even if they suspect they are doing something wrong? "Just a reminder to follow the rules" seems sufficient for staff. Hard to teach responsibility to people who are often not responsible with the paradigm, 'This is good for you, but not us.' This was great because hearing from Ms. Stewart, and Superintendent Miller was an AWESOME start at transparency. We'd also love to hear about things that didn't reflect so well on ODOC, like "Nintendo Switch Gate" at OSCI, or the situation with former officer Bowser (who apparently wasn't charged with an offense) or a similar event at EOCI which cost the taxpayers a huge amount of money.
Do you mean by the "Nintendo Switch Gate" reference that AIC were unable to obtain them? And if so, I am aware that there is an issue at SRCI, with the claim that the prison is unable to have charging stations in the cell, because all cells that are not for the disabiled, aren't wired for a C power. Example, the cells are wired for only DC power currently accessible to the AIC's excluding the Disablied AIC cells. There is so much more going on at SRCI.
Nicely done. I loved working at south fork!

My son Jordin stepen Peppers was given 10 yrs. Didn't hurt anybody 2 yrs left, please let him out! 😢
That would be up to the courts. DOC does not have the authority to release people before their sentence is over.
Heidi Stewerd looking FOINE. Hope I'm not racist if I prefer white women.
Being allowed to a minimum like CRCI but not this forest camp for my Arson 1 charge doesn't make any sense. They're both minimum!?
Snake river is suppose to be one of the roughest prisons in oregon. It has a large inmate population compared to other prisons. Idk what these people are talking about.
I never saw that room!
THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY WITHIN ODOC... LOTS OF RETALIATION AND HATE GOING ON WITHIN THE PRISONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Learn how to be a lazy douche
So much BS in this video. The AICs should be a priority not just the staff. There is so much that is happening within the prisons that get over looked.
This is such a messed up thing to do to the AICs. DONT TAKE AWAY THINGS THAT HELP THE AICs
He's also the tattoo guy.
Supportive???
The only way to stop the staff bleed is for us to have a pay and benefits package comparable to the larger counties. Anything else is just a band aid.
Love these interviews 👍‼️
Any wig splitters?
The Sagebrush Project is great!
Sagebrush is terrible if you are allergic it can drive you crazy. I say burn it all !!!!
Aliza Kaplan got a man released who went on to murder 4 women
She said "clemency is what most AICs are interested in." lol I remember first seeing this in Powder River Correctional Facility, fun times over there and quiet unlike anywhere else.
These drugs come in by your own staff members. Look at yourself. Also, maybe y'all should give the AICs adequate medical treatment. Staffing, well if y'all wouldn't push out the good staff then it be better and if y'all hired non crooked ones DOC would be better. There are many things that need to change within ODOC for the better.
CCCF needs the water drug testing
The prisoners need to be treated with respect. This way they know how to be respectful. Counselors need to pay more attention to their clients!
Thank you for your service.
See a couple great ones and some bad in my5
JDDelay brought me here.
It’s an awesome program. Why not offer it in any other facility? Snake River has the largest amount of drug addiction prisoners
I think that's the point of putting this video together - to show that it is an awesome program, that it is working and has value, that it's worth the time and money, and to encourage other institutions to try it.
@@suemarshall363 normally I would agree with you. Except for I know one of the men in the video who is no longer at that facility. And has asked to have such program at another one due to seeing how many men need and want the help. However was told it is “never happening”. Eastern Oregon facilities have almost no programs compared to OSP that have so many that benefit the prisoners now and after reentry. This fact has been known to Oregon DOC for years. Yet nothing changes.
I worry about a Chesterton’s fence scenario.
I agree only with the dependence upon which fence we are concerned of removing.
I am still waiting to see how the implementation of the (Norway system) and the (Oregon way) create a more involved work environment??!!!!!
So how many of these programs did the AICs have to push to be able to have these programs on the inside? I agree there needs to be rehabilitation for the AICs and when I was in prison there was nothing offered, we had to look for what we wanted to get done to change. NON of the programs did DOC offer. We as AICs had to find volunteers to come in for different programs. There is NO CORRECTION in DOC. They like the revolving door and the money they make off of AICs, and their friends and family. IT IS A BUSINESS and full of CORRUPTION!!!
So glad you guys are focusing on rehabilitation and life skills! We’ve all made mistakes and we can learn from them! You guys are the best I wish you guys had a donation center or some kind of thing where I can pay for pizza for everyone in the facility! Love you guys ❤
Free my brother reimundo Aispuro 🙏🏽😣
That would be up to the court. DOC doesn't determine when those in our custody are released.
They’re still treated better than the homeless and illegal immigrants . Population has grown these old prisoners are not even good to feed the soil .
One of those guys was a good high school football player until he got arrested for robbing a store.
Why not recognize AICs for the good they are doing within DOC, if it wasn't for the AICs the prisons wouldn't run.
Thank you for posting this. My loved one just got his response from his commutation that he applied for twice in the last two years. Unfortunately, it was denied, but this helped me to see that it will be ok. I appreciate your time.
Thank you to ODOC for allowing this discussion to occur and be recorded to share out. I really appreciate the genuine conversation between Aliza and the guys in the room!
She hides the planned interstate medical disfigurement as ordered by Swindersky
Explain?
Whos swindersky?
YOU LOVE AND SUPPORT MEDICAL RAPE ASSAULT AND BUTCHERY YOU WILL BE CAUGHT
Wonderful job! This guy has excellent artistic ability that will befit him the rest of his life.
Cool
This guy has never been a welder or held a job he lived off my daughter and did horrible things to my grandkids that no adult should do to a child let alone their own.
the wolf pulling wool over the sheep's eyes. . . . .blah blah blah, I'm not buying it, does "tonya" interview his victims?! inmates are good at spending the taxpayer dollars.
I have information to this murder and i know where the knife is buried and i know of another 5 murders and a child porn ring going on inside the DOJ/DOC of Oregon
Bizarre

💥Revolution🧡 In the United States An individual or a wife can be: • Intimidated • Extorted • Molested • Beaten • Raped • Coerced • Provoked continuously & if they physically harm their abuser the abused individual can be sued & has to pay bail money & maybe serve a sentence & have their new reputation effect business. th-cam.com/video/cPpqCd3ZjaQ/w-d-xo.html What deli clerk has $50,000 for bail money? The Prison System changes systemically when self defense is embraced more frequently without hefty monetary or communal consequences
