@@rolandstravels Is the main hall designed for the Roman Catholic Mass abandoned and blocked up inside by massive stone wall instead of entrance? What we see inside today is rather a small side chapel, not a church's hall and not a central altar.

It is Saxon and so very different to later churches.

It's a rich industrial heritage site. All of that Portland Stone which has been used in famous buildings.

It's a name that can cause pronunciation issues with those from further away!
