Painting & weathering the Eduard 1/48 P-39 Airacobra in Soviet Service
มุมมอง 3944 ปีที่แล้ว
The Bell P-39 served in great numbers in the Soviet Airforce during WW2. Of the 4700 delivered around 1000 were lost in active duty. This Eduard 1/48 kit contains parts for to planes of which one is depicted in this video. Eduard has released around 18 kits since 2000. The kits are nice but great care has to be taken when building and dryfitting is a must.

In this video I will tell you a little bit about the ship, the ship's history and the content of the box. It looks promising to me and I'm looking forward building it. If you like to know more about the battle of Samar, featured in the video, have a look at the channel of Drachenifel: th-cam.com/video/4AdcvDiA3lE/w-d-xo.html Enjoy the video and please consider subscribing for more modelbuilds a...
Painting & weathering the Tamiya 1/48 Nakajima A6M2N Type 2 'Rufe'
มุมมอง 4.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Painting and weathering this old Tamiya kit (first produced in 1973). It's a propeller action kit so parts are provides to make the prop spin. You only need to provide one AA battery yourself. You can choose to hang it on a wall or make a desk stand. Being an old kit means raised panellines on some spots but the overall quality and fit of the moulds is very good. You can make a nice model out o...

I’m wondering if you would be interested in selling me the color camo sheet? I’ve scratch built a 1/100 scale of Gambier Bay and would like to paint her. Thanks. DK
I Will have a look if I still have them. My kit documentation management system is not flawless…
I just received mine yesterday. My aunt and uncle helped build the original ship in Vancouver Washington.
Wow, that makes it very special I guess! Have fun with your build and respect to your family and their contribution to the war effort!
Very nicely done !
I really love it because you made the motor propeller isn't wiggling
Fantastic work. Very nice Airacobra. Greetings. Aleš 😎👍
Thanks!
Nice unboxing...I love how well packaged the parts are.
Thanks!
really nice painting there, and the tips on how you did it are great..thanx
Thanks!
Nice unboxing video thanks for posting this. Typically I wouldn’t be very interested in building a light carrier but Hasegawa appears to have put together a really nice kit here. Tempting for sure. Again, thanks for the video! 👍
Thanks for watching! Still haven’t found time to start this build, maybe during the long winter evenings. It’s a promising kit.
R. Beelen I went ahead and made the purchase. Found a good deal by a retailer on eBay for about $125 including shipping so I bought it. Also got both Hasegawa PE upgrade packs on Amazon. So for about $200 or so, it should make for a good, detailed, fun build!
@@dtmjax5612 Have fun with the build!
Where can I find the canopy masking stickers for the 1:48 scale model? Thanks I expect prompt response.
Thanks for watching! Try www.scalemates.com, they have almost all kits in a database with links to aftermarket stuff and the shops that sell it. I think I made these masks myself though.
@@ronb112 perfect! Thank you kindly.. great work btw!
Hi Ron, great review, I like the wee bit of history first, very well laid out review. I do the odd one or two on my channel. Look forward to seeing more from your channel. Stay safe and I hope you and your family are all doing well. Regards, Steve
Thanks for your nice comment. I’m looking forward to building the kit and making a video about it. First finish another one though. I will have a look at your channel to. Stay safe and healthy!
The plane looks interesting. I think that it is better for a more experienced person. Vacuum formed canopy can be difficult to cut and glue. I really like quality of the parts and details.
Yes, but luckily there is also a moulded canopy provided. That will be my choice when I get around building this kit.
That's very interesting video I can say.
Harikejn Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for subscribing to the channel. A new video will be up soon!
@@ronbeeplasticscalemodels4358 OK. You can subscribe to my channel as well if you are interested.
What’s up?! Just subbed to your channel. Have you ever considered using followsm . c o m to help you grow your channel!?
Very good video. 👍
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for watching my first video. When watching this video I noticed I need to focus on improving the quality of the sound and loudness of the speech. So this will be dealt with in the near future together with creating more content for the community. I hope to see you soon at this channel! Ron
