Crazy question, but of course banks are insured as are credit unions, by the federal government, but what about when the fed collapses?

They charge 0.5 percent for speed fee , that is theft . It is impossible for day trading since day trading target 0.4% roughly per transaction

Is this still available? I just got a Coinbase account and it appears quite different from what you are showing us here. I have ran a couple tests. I bought $2 and I was charged 0.50 cents. I attempted a $10 purchase and it has a fee of 0.99 cents. At what point does it drop off to a reasonable amount? Coinbase Advanced now appears to be a toggle in the loweer left corner. When I attempt to toggle it on, it keeps popping up to link my bank account. A quick Google search says it is fee based. I don't want to pay a subscription to cut a fee for a once a month buy and hold transaction. Is there a better/cheaper way to buy and hold BTC?

Coinbase recently raised their fees in the advanced section. It doesn’t hurt you doing small transactions, but when you start doing 6 figure transactions it’s still expensive.

I just opened account today. It asked to download Electronic Funds Transfer Authorization form. Then send by mail along with bank statement. Is that correct? I thought it was all done online.

If I set up a monthly recurring transfer of $250 into my child's account so that I don't have to physically do it each month, is there a way to set up automatic investing as well? Or do I need to login in every month and then invest that $250?

Robinhood sucks for BTC! I made a serious mistep buying there. It cost me a lot of money! They froze my account during a dip so I could not purchase the lower price! Totally screwed over!!!

If you have any problems with your HYSA company, you should post it online so other people can learn what to watch out for. We need to look out for each other. Thanks. "Be aware if rates go up, they won’t automatically bump up your rate. I started the 1st HYSA acct then noticed a higher rate advertised later but my rate stayed the same. They simply renamed the newly rated product available to new customers/accts. So I just opened a new account with the higher rate and transferred the balance. Then it happened a second time. So I have 3 accounts, 2 empty and the newest. But if I didn’t happen to check periodically my money would have been sitting earning about a percent lower this whole time."

FDIC protects my money in case the bank goes under. Does it protect my money if my account is hacked and my money is stolen from these online only HYSA?
