He's got his Winkies vocal production going on here. Love Eno. Today - my daughter begins his online course!
Garage rock Eno??? Brian was embracing his mid 60s youth...wow is this like a daffy Bubblegum Rock band meets garage band huffing ether 😂
Have a blast and google Eno and the Winkies. Apologies if you already know of them.
This is great. Too bad The Winkies never did anything after this. A great little trio
❤
Great stuff!!...I believe one member of Stumblebunny played a live TV performance as a member of the New York Dolls because the Dolls` bassist Arthur Kane`s girlfriend tried to cut his thunb off while he slept so he could never play Bass again(:?) ..It is on YT somewhere under "Bert Sugarman`s Midnight Special".
You are correct. It was Peter Jordan(bass player in Stumblebunny) He was sometimes soundman & roadie for Dolls and knew Chris Robison( Stumbles guitar & keys)
Robison played in Japan with Dolls when Thunders left
ironic..the song is 'i want you bad' and in the photo above they are all smoking...know that feeling...a different kind of love story, but i'm glad we parted ways..the solo is great...but its nothing without those underlying chords...the solo itself is actually pretty simple..the whole thing TOGETHER is genius
this is the Winkies band version of BE's ICR...a smashing version imo!!
my favourate Bill Fay track 👍
With a touch of rockabilly
Anya Grove
Брайан Ино мой друг, только он об этом не знает))
Another (mostly) unknown Brian Wilson masterpiece.
Great photo!!!
Ah, the Q!
So, so good. Prefer this rawer version to the recording! Drummer, please do at least one fill!
i think one fill in intro (lol)
The song And I Wonder is out of this world. I don’t know if it’s the way it was produced or how everything went miked up. But 12 year old me first time hearing it with my mediocre stereo, it sounded like the band was right there in my bedroom playing live. The keyboards and drums stand out the most. Ever more so with headphones. Even playing it back years later still does sound the same. I love they keyboard solo. Not up to Keith Emerson standards but still great and it’s on, right. Must check it out this song on the album.
It's very cool and we'll done...I did miss the dramatic part in the middle of the original version by The Stories with mellotron..but its a great cover nonetheless..thanks guys!
Greatest bar Band ever .never caved in .Rock And Roll legends .But its our and theirs little secret 😊 i guess we could share or give others a peek once and a while😊
I'll find a place somewhere on the carpet I'm gonna waste the rest of my days To all the dreadful things you might ask me Condemned to life as an ashtray I want to be your silver service I want to be your smallest room And when you have to keep an engagement Just leave me here, I'll wait in the gloom I'll come running to tie your shoe
Been there Done that ❤
John Davies Cale Godfather OG 35% THC delta 9 and I do believe the journey did her well
John Cale is the best musician ever You have to be one with the galaxy to understand that
Man! That was so much fun that I almost didn’t miss Fripp’s beautiful solo!
Same here - but that solo brings me to tears sometimes.
Spent many a summer night drinking beer and eating some of the best homemade chili at The Shaboo Inn in CT listening to these guys into the morning hours. GREAT band. Infectious groove.
The joy is always in the work and not the accolades
Prefer the other one.
Yeah but this is GREAT too
Great find. Like a punky Hawkwind version. Really good.
Y'all ever listened to 8:01?
It was inevitable that Dave Edmunds some day would cover this song
I'd only heard the Long Ryders' cover of it until just now.
@@edhelveyAnd that's a brilliant cover!
Nicky was amazing.
😌 great
Brian trying to channel Bacharach and David?
Whaaaat!!!!!!!
Tom Michelowski was one of my very best friends. He put together a very good band. God I miss him
The perfect intro...
Just another reminder of how refined and brilliant this track became on AGW.
Just curious how many guys in this band went to MUS?
This version is bloody brilliant!
In an alternate universe this was a No. 1 hit.
Bonito
oi.

Life is like … a bowl of cherries. I love this whole stichk!

recorded in a loft on w30st with a 4 track Teac
Those were great!!
This is really great stuff. But also check out a fine respectful cover of this song by the Long Ryders.
I'd only heard the Long Ryders' version until just now.
I LOVE SO MUCH THIS SONG.
