That beast one is sketchy because it's a mandatory trigger that's supposed to be maintained by both players. Regardless if he said the order wrong that should just be a warning I would think
It's a tough one because of the sequencing. Forgetting the trigger and trying to draw a card is gonna earn both players a warning because it's mandatory. The player calling for judge in this instance is just really petty imo
congrats on getting all the prize wall items you were going for!! Funny how everyone was valuing the price of each ticket. I traded 4 tickets for a legendary diablo which I thought was a good deal and then ended up giving some tickets away to help some friends get the playmat. That mat does look amazing and wish I had help get the tickets. On my own I ended up getting 55. I've got to convince my GF to give up backgammon and take up Lorcana with me.

How many tickets did the mat and promos cost?
The mat was 90 tickets, the Rapunzel card was 20, the Cinderella card was 18.

I've been preparing for a month a collection management series of videos for Lorcana collectors. Hot i have a binder for each set, with every single cards i own 1 of a set in that binder for the set, foil if possible. Then i got a binder for playsets of each color/set. And then a binder for rares / super rares, then Lorcana tiny official binders for legendaries. My 2 enchanteds are in big plactic outer cases, at my GF's home so i cannot on a whim sell them ot a LGS online !!!
We have a binder of foils and our playsets are in a giant deck box. They used to be in a binder but then it was really annoying to switch decks. Our storage keeps evolving though because we just have way too many cards (totally my fault. I like deals too much!)

buy a fresh box of Katana sleeves when you get to your LGS before the tournament.... Lorcana judges are known to be nitpicky on used sleeves, any little corner that is not perfect they can force you out, so get brand new sleeves!. AND katana shuffle like butter. I never had easy times shuffling before i got that brand. 2004-2023 I was in hell... 2024 i learned the way of katana sleeves !
OMG Thank you so much for this comment! All day I felt like there was something I was forgetting. Going out to get new Katanas now. Katana's shuffle so well! Brian also got some matte sleeves once that were really easy to shuffle but they don't look good with my foiled cards.

I feel for you. It is reverse for me though. My friend keeps on beating me with ruby amethyst in top 8 when I play blue steel.
My friend that I play blue steel against runs both Arges and Mickey Mouse detective and the Arges really ruins my Flynn plans. The MM makes be king undisputed and Lady Tremaine less useful.

I’m not really sure where all the negative connotations for IDing into a top cut came from in this game? It’s not shameful to do so in fact it’d be strategically unsound to not ID when able to because you’re just taking an unnecessary risk for no reason. Anyone who says you shouldn’t ID into a top cut when able either doesn’t understand tournament structure fundamentals or too focused on themselves and how they aren’t able to do so and are willing to detriment another individual because of it. So don’t feel shame for playing so well that you have an opportunity to ID into a top cut. Be proud of that accomplishment.
I think it was partly my TCG naiveté and just not understanding the math at it all. Last set champs I couldn't understand why people would ID and not just play.
@@Noninkables It’s all good, I’m not bashing you or nothing like that. Just trying to affirm that IDing into a top cut when able to do so is absolutely fine and not like a disgraceful act or nothing. The Lorcana community has had some trouble grasping that notion for some odd reason.
Agreed on the bucky take! Discard is my least favorite archetype in all TCGs because the core plan is to stop the opposing player from being able to make decisions or play the game in the worst of cases.
The nuts is a poker term for the best hand
OK, I did go and look the etymology of this term after you posted this comment. Turns out, it's because the poker player would have such a good hand they would go all in and then put the nuts from his wagon wheels to ensure he was good for his word and wouldn't try to flee the scene.

the fun Steel tool vs Bucky was Avalanche in set 4.... we were ready for it"! With Sheriff of Nottingham slaying the Bird by himself witha ny teamate of the "draw then discard" package I got a foil Promo card of Bucky in april :D happy for that one!
this is the biggest power errata since the wrong frenh translation of Friar Tuck (frere toque).... he was too powerful in the bad french original errorneous translation... as Bucky was too powerful likewise!
This sent me down a rabbit hole of look up all the past errata.

I see that pretty bike in the corner 0.0 very curious about what’s above the drop bars. Looks like arm rests for a tri bike but no bars to hold on to. Sooo, I’m perplexed haha
It's an ipad stand. This bike is on a trainer so it's primarily used as a stationary bike.

Podcasts + other lore/disney related content. We will probably make some gameplay content as well once we figure out how to film it in a way that's actually easy to see. Usually, because the cards are in sleeves, there's too much glare.
I think Disney will go with the MtG arena business model. Buy digital packs, which makes them available for you to play with in the app.
But what about all the packs I've already bought!!!

Deck building is so hard! I usually look at dreamborn.ink or inkdecks.com and find a deck I think I might like and test that out and then edit it to my preferences.
Interesting about the next chapter. I've seen theories on Hades, but not Maleficent

As someone new to Lorcana (and TCGs in general), I've been really enjoying your content and hearing your perspective on the game! I was curious, how do you normally find information on tournaments around your area?
I googled local game store near me. That usually shows a couple. The Lorcana website also has a store locator. www.disneylorcana.com/en-US/locator. It lists all the stores that sell Lorcana products (not all of them host Lorcana tournaments.) Most of the stores have an event calendar on their website. Sometimes it's only in their discord. Once you know the name of the store you can search store name + discord code and that should get you the invite code to their discord.
I haven't been playing Lorcana but Ursula is probably my favorite Disney characters so this was fun to watch. I had looked at the art and mechanics before but didn't realize so much story was imparted on the cards. I may see if I can collect some Ursula cards for fun. Thanks for making this!
Many questions. As a Disney fan getting into Lorcana, it's quite hard to find Disney themed accessories outside of the official releases. Where did you get your playmat, card sleeves and lore counter. For storage of cards, what storage boxes do you prefer?
The playmat is from etsy. The card sleeves are from a Disney game called sorcerer's arena. I saw someone at set championships with them and just googled them. The lore counter I got as a prize for a tournament at one of our local game stores. I think you can also get it sometimes as a prize for playing in league. For card storage, I will be doing a updated video on that soon. We have one video on the channel that shows how we were storing our cards a few months ago.
