I used to train and spar with Curtis Crandall a couple of years after this. He wasn't the most skilled fighter, but he was powerful. He won the WKA light heavyweight world title. He sold his title belt to another training partner of mine named Dale Frye for drug money. Curtis had lots of drug problems and spent a lot of time in state prison. He was always cool to me. I was a teenage welterweight and he could have killed me, but he was a good training partner.
