Hello everyone! A little about me, I am a retired Air Force veteran of 27 years and had the opportunity to fish all around the United States and the world and enjoy sharing my fishing experiences. Shane Flint Outdoors is a fishing channel dedicated to primarily fishing reservoirs and other small bodies of water. Targeting Bass and other fresh water fish from an all electric propelled boat. I do go out and fish across the United States when time allows, with my many friends. I do cover other outdoor topics, hunting, hiking, fishing gear reviews, and basically anything you can see and do outdoors may pop up. I Enjoy being in the outdoors and enjoy sharing my fishing experiences with everyone!!

Greetings from SoCal. I love the cast and retrieve techniques of jig fishing but our lake is just full of green algae. Even right now in the middle of winter; everything near the bottom comes back slimed. New bank fishing sub.

No they were not spots. The water is turning over and was unusually murky and the bass were unusually bright colored. I have never caught a spot in that lake but it’s possible there are some in the lake.

That jig is putting in work. A Winter time bite is one of the most satisfying bites to have, makes enduring the cold worth it.

Hey Shane been on your vids a bit. I know you speak highly of the halo ks2 rods. Can you help me to decide on a heavy jig rod. Maybe a ks2 heavy fast or a Dobyns champion. They will be mainly a Texas rig jigging rod. Or if you have any opinions would be great.
Thanks for asking, for the price point I would say the KS2 Elite will outperform the Dobyns Champion. The backbone on the KS2 with the fast tip will get you better hook ups on the jig. I actually have fished both rods. If you want to step it up a notch on the quality of the rod the MMA submission is by far the best Jig rod I have ever used ( I have a discount code for the rods I can share). Check out my video that just aired. Sensitivity A+ Performance A+, and top it off 100% manufactured in America. Dobyns and Halo are American rod companies but they are 100% made in China, what I call container rods. I will say the the one thing you can count on from HALO is customer service if your rod breaks you pay shipping and you have a new rod in 48hours.
