Stoney Nakoda Lodge and Casino, about a 40 minute drive from Calgary, Alberta, is on Stoney Nakoda first nation near the town of Morely. Also known as Mini Thni. They have free running horses in the area along with a sightseeing helicopter tour operation. These horses are so at home they are fearless around humans.

Once we arrived at Pinhao in the Port Wine making region in Douro Valley Portugal, we strolled along the main area of the town. The area is FULL of Port wineries and simply picturesque. Lovely old buildings and signage along with some modern art. Take a good look at the lovely tiles on the train station.

While sitting on the deck at Port winery "Quinta do Bomfim" we enjoyed some 5 year and 10 year Port's and watched the valley go by. A remarkable experience. To get there, we took a train from Porto to Pinhao and a lovely picturesque ride it was. To get to Quinta do Bomfim, we walked from the station, which was no more than 10 minutes. It was so quiet and peaceful to watch the boats go by.

Hi, I know you're probably not aware of this but we don't regard ourselves as Scottish or part of Scotland. Although we are(currently) ruled by Scotland we actually have an entirely different history and heritage(ours is Norse).
I am aware of all you have stated. We had a wonderful local taxi driver that shared all of this with us. Pleased to be able to share this beautiful part of the world. Sadly on a world map, there is no denying it's part of Scotland at the moment.
