Hii Neela Suppush... give your cockatiel carrot in starting..cut it in long and slightly thick pieces..hang this piece in the cage where your cockatiel can reach it...first your cockatiel will nibble it...he will eventually eat it.. U can start with methi leaves..my budgie and cockatiels love it..cut long and thin pieces of carrots...fix carrot stick with the help of cloth pin in the cage...first the will chew it out of interest...later on they will start eating it..make food interesting to them..cockatiels are very curious..u can cut beetroot like i told u to cut carrots... Hang palak and other leafy vegetables to their cage.. I am sure they will start eating vegetables..

@Arif Shaikh, yes you can give it to them if these are available in summer...feed the cucumbers...they love it.. you can also feed them some seasonal fruits..

@@fluffyfeathers Ummm, unlikely. Indian parrots have a great tolerance for variations in weather and climate. You find them from sub-Himalayan regions as well as in the semi-arid regions of Rajasthan and all places in between. This is why you find colonies of feral Indian parrots (descendants of escaped pets) even in Europe. Then again there is something else you may consider. When the land bridge was formed between the two Americas, a large exchange of land animals took place if the fossil record is anything to go by. I don't remember exactly which species travelled in which direction so I can't give specific examples, but the fact is that the ancestors of the big cats (puma, cougar, jaguar) of America were originally confined to just one continent and then expanded their range to the other and evolved to form distinct species. However, the colorful parrot species are indigenous almost entirely (?) to South America. Surely there are identical climatic conditions and habitats to be found on both continents. There may be no Amazon rainforest in N. America, but I'm sure there are patches of densely forested tropical regions somewhere. Similarly just as you have the prairies in N. America, you have the Pampas grasslands in South America. I am surprised there are so few bird species in common to both continents. I am probably missing something here. Also, in the context of the exchange of land animals between the two Americas, whether a species thrived or died out in their new homeland was determined not so much by climate or habitat but by the presence or absence of natural predators. Some species had no natural predators in their new home and their numbers grew rapidly, while others either died out post-migration or evolved to cope more effectively with their predators. I just remembered that birds can be sensitive to EM fields (which is how some migratory birds determine their course of flight), so may be latitude does matter to some species, since the strength and direction of the earth's magnetic fields depends on the latitude. There could be other factors like ocean currents which cause important variations in local weather patterns which could be important to the species. These could be the invisible "walls" that discourage bird species from spreading out even if food and habitat aren't a problem and they don't feel threatened by other animals.

Wow...u have very depth knowledge of animal behaviour...what u r saying is very interesting... I think govt. Of India is not paying much attention towards its wildlife... China is spending so much money in panda... we also have red panda found in Himalayas.. Before researching for this vedio i had no Idea that India have so many beautiful species of parrots...even specis like lorikeet...these birds and animals are our treasure... Plum headed parakeet are rare sighting...
