Paper Stencil Demo- Screenprinting
มุมมอง 733 ปีที่แล้ว
This demo shows how to use Freezer Paper to make stencils for a screen printed image. I used transparent base to make some of the colors transparent so they mix optically when overprinted. I am printing with water soluble inks on paper.
Screen printing using Screen Filler and Drawing Fluid (part 2)
มุมมอง 1663 ปีที่แล้ว
This demo shows how you can use a water-soluble resist (gum arabic or Speedball Drawing Fluid) in combination with Speedball Screen Filler to create a stencil for screen printing that can be cleaned out of the screen with common household cleaners. 7c Overprinting Monoprints
มุมมอง 933 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's a way you may be able to improve a print that may not feel resolved yet. I am overprinting a second monotype layer onto a monochromatic monotype image that felt too greyed out. The second color adds a bit more contrast and depth to the image.
7b Integrated Chine Collé
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This demo shows how to glue on the chine collé paper while you are printing the image. This method works best if your inked plate is level (like a monotype plate or a relief block with few areas cut away). In this example, I am using a styrene monotype plate and printing by hand onto dampened Canson Edition printmaking paper.

This tutorial is exactly what I needed! I was trying to figure out how to transfer an image onto a linoleum block with citrasolv, and it just kept resulting in a smeary mess every time. Your tip about doing it in small sections at a time was the key! And I mistakenly thought it would be better to tape all sides of the paper down so it couldn't move, but following your example of only taping only one side so I could verify as I went was immensely helpful. Thanks!
