Congratulations 🎉🎉💗 I've had a home birth too, with two midwives with me, free on the NHS in the UK 🇬🇧 It was wonderful ❤ I didn't want to know the sex of baby beforehand and had picked Emma for a girl and Noah for a boy, months before the birth. Baby Noah was born in his sac of waters. It's rare, the older midwife said it was only the second birth she'd attended in her long career and told me that it's meant to be very lucky. It dates back to Medieval times when sailors used to say that a baby born in its sac of waters will never drown at sea. And I'd already chosen the name Noah 💜💜

im a man. congrats anyway, my wife had 3 girls, yeah it hurts from what i can tell and supporting her, what i will say, from what she told me, the minute baby is in your arms, the pain goes, and it becomes the best experience in the world, i think not being funny as a father, we find it hard, we feel like a spare part, as there is nothing we can do but support, my advice, enjoy the pain, because the miracle that is placed in your arms is worth it, i had 3 girls, or my wife did so to speak do what i did, if your husband gest bit sstressed an he will do, give him few doeses of the gas and air, he will get through it but enjoy it

Labour contractions for me, prior to the pushing phase, were exactly like bad period pains 😀 🙏 ❤

I actually loved the nesting part while pregnant and washing the clothes and putting everything together! My baby girl has arrived on June 22nd at 4am, it was a chaotic experience and had an unmedicated birth because it was so out of the blue 😅 Was in labour for about 6h, which was pretty quick 🥲 Can't wait to see how your experience goes, I kinda feel like we shared this journey 😂

Hi Bethany, I hope you're going really well! When I first saw your video sharing your amazing news (on my other account, which is now more for acting and stuff), I won't lie - I was a little sad. My husband and I had been trying for a while and we got to the point of seeing a specialist, and we seriously discussed life without kids, and while it would have been a very different life, we could be happy - I would certainly make acting a focus in my life again! That is... until recently... we haven't actually told anyone yet, but I just wanted to say, I'm going to be trying to keep up to date with all your videos and get more educated!! I do also enjoy Mama Doctor Jones videos, but it's just super nice to get recommendations from someone who shares the Faith hahaha. It's been amazing to see your journey and that you haven't lost your positivity and joy you displayed when I first met you at uni. God Bless! Alison

Oh my goodness you look so beautiful and radiant!

As a mom who has had 2 unmedicated births, and both positive experiences, I just wanted to say that it sounds like you are doing all the right things to prepare! I can't remember if you've mentioned much about your healthcare provider (OB or midwife?) and I'm not sure just how different things are in Australia versus here in the US, but the only other thing I'd recommend to you is to make sure you're speaking with your provider about your wishes and expectations for your birth to make sure you're on the same page ahead of time. It's much harder to advocate for yourself while in active labor if your doctor or nurses are trying to push something you're not on board with, but it's fantastic that you're involving your partner so much in your preparation so he can understand your desires for the birth and be am advocate for you if necessary, too. Wishing you a beautiful, peaceful birth experience!

Can't wait to see how the nursery will turn out to be! I'm 30+2 today and girl, I am procrastinating like hell 🥲 only have the crib and it's not even put together yet, I am drowning in anxiety ngl. I didn't find the glucose test the worst thing until all the sugar rush got me after like 45min of everyone being done and having food! But here if you throw up, you have to come back to repeat it 😂

I can relate to pretty much every one of those symptoms 😂 Except my specific one is on my right leg, it feels like there's something pinching my nerve and it hurts to be still for more than one second! It's a pretty weird one 🤷🏻‍♀️ also just started having a lot of teeth and ear aches, which sucks pretty much. I am 28+2 and still can't be bothered to buy maternity clothes so I have been living in the same 3 dresses since January 🤣
